Peter | My original reply is on page nine of this old leviathan of thread. Scanning through I noticed there is only a handful of us still around from back then. |

I voted Other. A member posted a link on another site. Since I kinda trust his opinion, I clicked the link to check out the site, and here I am. |

I found this forum just today by searching for websites that used Eric Ciaramella's name. Did a Duck Duck Go search for 'eric ciaramella' in the past 24 hours and found this as one of the few places where his name was being used. I don't even know if I'm going to participate at all, I just figured when all the big sources of information both online and offline in America (Facebook, Youtube, FoxNews, CNN, NYTimes, etc) are actively censoring public knowledge rather than spreading it, it's time to find other sources of info. So I'm sticking my foot in the water here because you guys seem willing to discuss what's actually happening. |

#DeleteGoogle, say #byeGoogle I searched DuckDuckGo for "survival forums" then created a quick excel file noting the posts, threads, members, active members, online members and online guests. Landed here. |

Ex coworker didn't close out the window for this forum on a work computer, left it on the conspiracy subforum actually. I got on the computer, saw the site, thought 'whoa i wonder which one of my crazy coworkers is a participant on this....interesting... site.' Perused it a little, found it entertaining, found the Ebola thread (which had just made its way to the U.S. & I was super worried about at the time). Realized how many super smart, well informed people were on this site and it eventually became my go-to place for educating myself. I have a mild interest in prepping that I haven't actually taken anytime to pursue yet. Was talking to a new coworker a few days ago, he saw me looking @ the site and asked if I was a prepper, if I had water and food stashed away, to which I replied "no, but I know dang near everything there is to know about Ebola. So... I may die of thirst or hunger, but Ebola definitely ain't gonna get me." Haha. I don't post much, I mostly just read. The level of intelligence of the members here can be a little intimidating. I'm smart enough to get highly sought after jobs so that's good enough for me, but I'll never be a super valuable contributor. As to which one of my ex-coworkers inadvertently led me to this site, I still don't know who you are, but thanks! I feel privileged to have found this site, it and its members are a great resource. |
