Yes what lead council says.

Marlin94 If you don’t own anything else then yes I’d do it.

Nikos01 Yes, I would make the deal in a second. A Glock and a shotgun, seems like a fantastic trad to me.

goat daddy I have sold two pistols in 40 years. One was a dan wesson which was loosing time after 10,000 rounds. The other was a Ruger super blackhawk in 44mag, I didn't like the "feel" of the gun. Both were good sales and I never looked back. Look hard at the pistol and make a decision. With rare exception, you can always get another. I have a smith 357 which is going to the grave with me. No way it gets away. Look at the new guns and make a decision. You are a big boy, just pull up your pants and do it.

strokes762 Since you can't buy a handgun being younger, if you really want to keep the Beretta you could build a Polymer 80 Glock 17.

Late2Prep Personal opinion. Keep the Beretta.
A Glock is just plastic.
The Bwretta is your first pistol, keep it for no other reason than it was the first.
I have had Glocks, and wish I had any of the Beretta's back before getting another Glock.

AK103K If its something you want, Id do it, as long as the Glock wasnt "improved" by the other party, or at least still has all the original parts to go with it if it was.

I trade stuff off Im not using, didnt like, and/or got tired of, for things I just gotta have (which is usually what Im trading off was, a short while earlier. ), all the time.

I have both Berettas and Glocks, and both are easily replaced if you choose to do so later. If I have to get rid of one of the two, the Beretta would go.

Something to consider, if you have a bunch of mags for the gun youre trading, Id leave two go with it and hold onto the rest. Took me a little while to figure it out, but I always regret giving up "all" the mags, as I often end up with another gun down the road that uses them, and then I just have to buy them again.

This gun buying/trading stuff is cyclic in nature. Just give it a little time, and another Beretta, or whatever, will be along shortly.

Nomad, 2nd Utility:
The Glock and Beretta are equal.

I prefer the Glock.

Price wise if it's what I believe the Beretta to be (the early inox with metal vs plastic parts.) It's worth slightly more.

But if it's shooter grade.... Pretty close.

If you can't buy either, the pistols are equal useable....
Why not.

cook For what its worth,I've regreted about almost every sale, but never a trade.

ManyFeathers If that's what you wanna do, do it and don't look back

There's lots of guns out there to be had and after you've had a bunch, the sentimentality goes away

You will be getting 2 guns for 1, and you're not losing money that's how you build your collection or whatever you call it

Sometimes I regret trading a few off but then I think I'd lose the guns I traded for...

The Beretta is nothing special, you can always buy another if you so desire

I've done lots of trading in the last 40+ years. Just think of it as baseball cards for adults!

One piece of advice.....iffin you get a good shooter, hang on to it. That's one that's pretty, hard to come by and goes bang every time without fail

BigSlick Sounds like a pretty decent trade to me but I like Glocks and shotguns. I looked up current market prices and it looks like you will come out a little ahead in the deal but in the end it's up to you to decide.

Bob3rd Some on here think Glock is gods gift to man kind, some of us hate them and prefer the hammer and actual safety. But you have to make up your own mind.

I'm only scared of regret because the inox is a beautiful pistol and my first one so it's kinda sentimental. I do shoot it a lot so it's no safe queen. But I'm trying to add a glock since it's so nice. Do you guys think I should trade it? And btw I'm 19 so I cant buy a glock from an ffl
Three equations.
1. Financial. The Beretta is probably around the same value as the Glock and Mossberg. So it's about even. The Beretta will probably hold value better in the long run. But it's not likely to soar, there were millions made. Very common.

2. Practical. Well, two good guns is generally better than one. You'd be trading an excellent 9mm for an excellent 9mm, and getting a "free" Mossberg. From a utilitarian standpoint, if you're impartial to hammer or striker you come out ahead with two guns.

3. Sentimental. Well you'll lose out permanently so make sure you're good with that.

I actually made a very similar trade. My first pistol was a 92FS, and I traded straight for a Glock 23. I was happy with that trade, and still am. Over a decade later I still regularly carry the Glock and don't miss the Beretta. Okay, maybe a minor sentimental amount but oh well.

I personally would make that trade, and then trade/sell off that Mossberg for something more useful. I don't find Shockwave's particularly useful.

Good luck with the decision.

ajole It’s a decent trade in today’s money.

But if you are like most of us, you’ll regret it terribly.

I wouldn’t do it.

Oh no, it's a "ghost" gun!
