Mazarine33 I discovered, to my great shock, a hole in our preps. I had eaten an entire dozen plain glazed donuts in the course of a day and evening. We won't say why. But the next day I discovered that I needed some laxatives. So off I went to get some senna based stuff.

Funny, the things you overlook when prepping. So we're stocked up on that stuff for a while. It has a good shelf life.

I also topped off with a few other OTC meds like more bottles of 90% isopropanol, good quality band aids, a few tubes of silver nitrate gel, a big bottle of Mr. Bubble, and some more safety razor blades. All at the local dollar store. They are great places for common preps.

Aerindel Restocked the 'store' (What we call our food prep storehouse.

Not that we where out of anything but it needed a top off. No point in having empty space on the shelves.

DenimDave gritted my teeth and bought these:Clorox Healthcare Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner Disinfectant Wipes, 95 Count Canister - Pack of 6

I had no idea regular bleach wipes were slow to kill germs -- I want wipes for out and about and they have to work quick. Thanks to SAHMmomoftwins (or something like that)

Made a trip to a place with really fresh herbal tea components and mixes. I need our immune systems up - and hot liquids help when you are ill.

Does reading on the forum and news count as a prep? LOL

Hilltopper My endurance is not up to par recovering from illness and dealing with a predation issue on the homestead , wanting to deal with stocking more supplies to help my family ( just in case) so I hired help another two days this week .

small.business.guy.1 Just scored today. Went to Home Depot to pick up a mop and some HDX(?) 27 gal. storage tubs and was looking at the 3M painting masks and right toward the bottom of these hanging racks of the paint masks were four - P95 'Cool Flow' respirators (3M 8577 masks with the one way breathing valves) - 2 packs - mixed in with all the others. Like $8.97 for each 2 pack. Bought them all.

Survivalist boards have really educated me about being prepared. This is just one more example.

Also plan to spend time drooling over bunkerbusters bbq sauce.
I thought you must be crazy about the Amazon respirators. NOPE, you aren't cray. I doubt very seriously you will find these out in the world. It's just not much of a retail item.

The few sellers that had the correct masks (0ne-way valve) that weren't fakes and weren't useless (like surgical masks) were gouging like mad.

Hilltopper Wuhan flight last week confirmed to have introduced that corona virus here in Vancouver , British Columbia . I am planning a big shop early tomorrow AM when the stores are less congested to stock at least two homes if not three . Already have a fair bit of stocked N95 masks and nitrile gloves so I can focus on other supplies .

I have been stressing to friends and family recently to revamp diets to optimize health, and that has helped my friends recovering from cancer as well, Potawami II . Hopefully this is a trial your family will diligently surmount .

Been a long morning, but sometimes there is more to prepping than piling up gear and food.

Wife's Dr. brought up the big C from one of the things she had done last week. Not in lungs (that we know of) got some more tests to do to find out how much and how to fix it.

We have an eight year old that should be growing up with two parents. Things are not fun around here at all. We haven't killed each other yet though. We will get through it, been through other stuff that was or seemed just as bad at first. Just takes patience and teamwork.

goat daddy reloading. resized some 243 to 7mm-08 and loaded it with cast projectiles, loaded 8mm and pulled the 308 out of the barn and cleaned. I'll shoot it this afternoon or tomorrow. It has not been shot in 9 years. Working on a theme shoot where each member of our hunting group shoots the same round. I.E. 308 day, 7.62X54R day and etc. We may need to do some "caliber" days as in 6.5 mm as not everybody has a 6.5 arisaka or 6.5 x57.

bunkerbuster A dozen 4LB containers of peanut butter, split with a few family members.
I can grow wheat, mill it, culture yeast, make/bake scratch bread of all sorts.
Can also grow the fruit/berries, make, preserve all sorts jam/jellies & apple butter.

But, cannot grow peanuts in our BOL area.

IceFire Went by the Podiatrists office after work today and picked up my other two pair of orthotics that had just come in. That now gives me FOUR sets of prescription orthotics. Now I can keep a pair in my muck boots (have been having to wear them without, and if I spend any time at all in them, I DEFINITELY notice!) as well as my slippers and two pairs of work shoes. Plus, if one pair breaks down, I still have back-ups!

STEEPOE Ordered a couple of MOLLE dog harnesses and some pouches. My current one cannot latch pouches on and I figure they can carry some food if needed (though in hindsight - I imagine they'd not move and be sniffing the others pack the whole damn time - we'll see).
