I raced throughout grade school, middle school and high school. Made it to Nationals in Bemidgi Mn my junior year. I ski often with my M1A and seriously enjoy the vast wilderness we have here in Wyoming. Look up some of my posts and you'll see lotsa photos.

Sorry for asking a ninny kind of question here, but why did you choose the name biathlon? That word ( and the sport itself) always gets my attention......
I'm one of the few founding members of Service Rifle Biathlon, which never did get beyond a few meets. Thanks!

Maybe read the next message before this one since there is a character - word limit.

I don't know why many even post or are here except to ridicule and cause trouble. As some are down rating and putting you down for posting your one star general thread. I try to uprate many one star threads by the one star bandit, whom I think there are several. I try to rate five stars so I am a Five star general? Kidding, I feel that I cannot even joke on this S-boreds anymore. Many many more friendly people here in 2009 to 2012.

I did get to be on my mtn place for five whole days over Labor Day and I might post some pics in my sticky survival retreat thread in the wilderness section in a few days or weeks. later MMM

Hope you are doing well. I am for being stuck here in the stinkin city - Greeley, CO all summer. That has not happened since 1999. Mainly I must take care of my old mom and dad constantly. They probably should be in a nursing home / assisted living but they want me to take care of them.

And I almost posted in your star thread > http://www.survivalistboards.com/showthread.php?t=407147
but I don't post much anywhere anymore, mainly since this S-boreds is very different from when I first joined.
Far too many non even anti-survivalists and ridiculers and know-it-alls, many whom probably don't even go outside.
I also have had too many personal attacks on me and even WR. One "prominent" member here even accused WR and I of being gay / ****. Send me a pm and I will tell who it is.

I mix in plenty of olive oil, some of the liquid from cooking and start it with a hand held potatoe masher before it goes into the blender. I also like to add dried garlic, dried onions and toasted sesame seeds and sometimes some roasted sesame seed oli too.
The combination is what many nutritionists call a "Super Food"

If I have left overs in the fridge or some veggies I need to use like peppers or some herbs from the garden I will add some lemon juice and sage or even some mint with a little fresh squeezed orange juice.

Different flavors complement each other in differing ways.

Hi, I was just wondering what you use to mash your garbanzo beans for hummus?

I tried using my blender, and my blender didn't seem to do the trick, so I added more liquids (lemon juice and oil) and now it's just gross. I think my blender is plotting its revenge....

    Hi Norm,
I'd love to meet you too. I will probably be down at Mtnman Mike's then. My friend, Flo, flies into Denver on the 9th of July then we're heading straight to the trail. We'll be hiking towards Battle Pass, then she has to return to Alabama. I'm done here at man camp May 31st. Let me know if any of this works for you.

I enjoy sharing adventures here. So many post that they just hate the cold and snow. I love it. I think it's beautiful. What other countries have you got to ski in? I hope to tour Europes ski areas some day. Norway, Sweeden, Finland, Switzerland, a whole winter over there would be a dream come true for me.

Hi biathlon. We had more than double the amount of snow in some regions, up to 3 meters I heard.
I do mostly snowshoeing, some skitouring in the spring when the snow in the alpineareas has settled properly.
BTW cool pics of your wintercamping and telemarkskiing :)
