    Hi,
if you'd like me to send you some seeds, I'd be happy to do so. If so, please let me have a postal address for you via PM. They are in a storage unit but I can get them in time for February sowing. I have so many, I'd be very happy to share.

I saw your post about destroying 3.5" diskettes. Best method I've found is to tear them apart, then cut up the magnetic film inside. The plastic is just a shell, the magnetic film is where the data resides. There are sometimes companies which offer this, and occasionally (at least around here) community shred events that may have a sufficient power to destroy them (home use shredders won't because of the metal ring). I also have heard the advice of dumping them all in a bin of water, adding salt and letting the magnetic section corrode.

I work for a State level tax agency. In the past we would do the bin full of water after drilling holes for hard drives, but eventually hired a company to come out and destroy them and our floppies for us. We pay about 1 USD per item destroyed, but they also destroy hundreds or thousands at a time, making it worth their while to come out. For small batches the cost may be higher.

    Hope this helps =]

Hi - the recipes from my friend with the diabetic son, weren't were I was expecting they'd be. If I find them I will let you know!! She had a number of good ones, that she gave me because I am diabetic myself - but I never really used them. :(

    Congratulations on passing your course!

Hi, it is a Lakeland Terrier we are getting (God willing). Well actually 3/4 Lakeland, and 1/4 Border terrier. I understand these are not large dogs but are classed as small (maybe verging onto medium).

Don't know about using the kindle to do pdf directly but you can get several free pdf makers that add into windows and work just like a printer. I personally use one called dopdf which you can find at http://www.dopdf.com. Just install as a printer, real easy and then select it as your printer whenever you want to create a pdf.

Assuming you can search the internet with kindle get yourself a google account and get Google Docs at http://www.google.com/ then upload the pdf and you can/should be able to access it from the kindle.

Feel free to share this post.

    How's you father doing?

Just to let you all know, I may in the future not be on as much as I do now. My Dads pretty sick and Im going to be his carer. He has to have a major operation - his 84 and has ill health, so needs all your prayers that he comes through that.

I hope to come in on a weekly bases, but I wont know until I get into a routine. If not I wish you all well and I will try to keep you all updated when I can.

    6. I always sew a long stitch (basting) on my side seams and try them on to check if I need to let out to take in the seams. After I get my fit I then sew a permanent seam and finish the edges of the seam with a small zigzag seam or if you have a serger finish with it.
    7. If the straddle (I think that's what you call it LOL) is too long then you can cut off a bit at the top of your pants pattern. Try them on first to determine if they are first.
I hope I didn't give more information than you needed or wanted!
I just wanted to encourage you. :)

Here is an easy cargo with set in waistband and patch pockets.
you could add back pockets by copying ones on your fav. cargo pants Be sure to add seam allowance on your pocket pattern first.

This is what I find helps me.

    1. Make sure your pattern is free of wrinkles. If the pattern pieces are wrinkled, iron on low. A higher setting will shrink your pattern a bit.
    2. Prewash and dry your fabric and iron it flat
    3. Make sure your long arrow on your pattern is straight
    4. Pin or lay weights on pattern and cut precise. If you need to resize add at top of pants and taper to bottom pants leg line. Be sure to add that much to the waist band pattern. If the pattern has elastic on top then you won't have a waist band pattern piece.
    5. After you sew each seam steam iron in the direction the instructions call for. Ironing each seam is key to neat sewing. I put my iron and ironing board beside me at my seating level so I can just sew my seam and turn to my ironing board and press each time.

I saw you were looking for a cargo pants pattern. There are several from the big and smaller pattern co. But you could use your favorite pants pattern and add pockets and loops where you need them. Once you decide your favorite configuration trace your pattern on sturdier paper, cheap interfacing, or oak tag paper with notes and markings where you placed your loops, pockets, etc. Let me know if you need any help. I'll be glad to answer any questions that I can. :)
