I remember the large Preparedness Expos in the 1990's in Denver.
They were very interesting and could spend almost all day there. There was Bo Gritz and many other speakers and many vendors and tables selling about everything from books, hats, gear etc. I did not think they did those anymore but in some parts of the country seems they still do. Looks like the next one is in Atlanta in a month or so as shown in the link below. Here is what I found and maybe there is one coming to your part of the country > http://preparednessexpo.com/ |

In the old days, the expos were a great way to find new products and such. Today with the internet, we have that covered for the most part. That could be part of the reason they've died off somewhat.

I thought they had died off after Y2K. Went to some before that. They were fun and interesting.

They were great event, attended a couple of them here in Denver. My only gripe was when ASG folded and took a lot of people's money with them. I was a long time subscriber, had prepaid for almost 6 yrs subscription. Then they changed names, folded and disappeared. Tried to contact someone to get some money back and nothing.

I met Randy Weaver in 1999 at one in California. Interesting guy, didn't come off as bitter and definately not a whacko.
With the technology that has come out in the last 10 years, an Emergency Preparedness Expo would be very interesting. |

But as much as I respect him, and would love to talk with him, I would rather he found peace with God. |

It was a falling out between partners and ones wife who owned part of the business. Her husbands death was her greed for more money from the magazine and it's partners.

They still got neutered before they went out of business at the same time they made it illegal to hire a mercenary from the ads in Soldier of Fortune.
