A little heavy for carry (24 oz) but if the price is under $450.00 it could be a good competition to Glock26, XDc and S&W M&Pc

XD9 SC weighs 26 oz with empty mag, exactly 2 lbs with 13+1.

I think Ruger is now over rated. Especially with the fact that they had a recall on the older SR-9's and a recall on the LCP. That's two different guns within a year that had problems. Competition?, Glock is in a league of it's own. Last time I checked Glock hasn't had a recall since 1992. They're a proven battle weapon. If the SR9c can handle the same torture test as the G26 and still function then it may be worth while. The only other gun I have besides Glock is Kel-tec, and that's because Glock doesn't make a .380 pocket pistol.

I'm fairly interested as I'm in the market for a CCW weapon. has a recent review of one.

Thumbs up

I have a Ruger SR-9 and love it. Mine was one of the first produced and I had to send it back to Ruger for the trigger upgrade. The last time I qualified with it I shot 98.3%, I beat out alot of Glocks,Sigs and XD's. etc.: I love my SR-9.
