BOL - Bug Out Location (A predertermined (hopefully well stocked) location that you would head to in case of an emergency)

BOV - Bug Out Vehicle (Get you to your BOL)

BIB - Bug In Bag (Similar to a BOB, but is designed to get you home - like if you are traveling)

PSK - Personal Survival Kit

FAK - First Aid Kit

EDC - Every Day Carry (this can be used to refer to items you always have with you: firearm, knife, mult-tool, etc.)

This one always throws me when I come across it in a post:
SAK - Swiss Army Knife

Great thread...being somewhat new to this Survivalism stuff, I am constantly running across those acronyms that takes me forever to figure out. I have seen EOTWAWKI also as TEOTWAWKI (the first T being "The)

Kev,
Have you considered making a "acronym" page (dictionary) so to speak?

If you use them at night, they creep into daily use. I realized yesterday that I had used IIRC (If I Recall Correctly) in an email at work that went to a whole BUNCH of folks.

Opppsssss……..

However, nobody commented on it…yet
