paintball anyone else?

anyone play paintball? Love the game. don't get to play it too much anymore but mmm wonderful skill. its not war of course but it will teach you how to move and shoot encase the paint is ever replaced with bullets. anyways, who else enjoys the sport?

Been playing since I was 8, I'm 20. Definitely learn communication and good cover technique.

I used to play a fair amount of speedball when I was younger.

I learned that when the SHTF that I need some good cover or I'm the first guy who'll get hit. At 6'5" 225 lbs I'm an easy target.

I was a good back player though - easy to see and communicate when you're my size.

I used to play every month but work too much now. You can buy pepper balls in standard .68 cal for use in paintball guns. They could come in handy.

I used to but haven't played in at least 8 years or so. In fact, just yesterday, I gave a PT Rebel Xtreme paint pistol to my buddy at the gun store. Got keep the wheels greased if ya want a call when there's a smokin' deal on a trade in.

Paintball is the ****. I used to play 2-3 times a month all year long when I lived in Tahoe. Now that I moved to Or. Ive only played once in the past year. The local store here went out of business. Times are tight so nobody plays here anymore.

Mizer67, im 6'2 210-220 and can sneak up on anybody. Dont get discouraged keep trying.

Yep. im 6'2 and around 240. I get plenty of barrel tags and sniper shots but i much prefer to play up front and personal. Hate hiding in the back bunker

I use to play a lot. I started back in the day when a pump on the 007 Nelspot was a big deal, 12-gram CO2 cartridges were the norm and paintballs came in tubes of 10. Back in '84 I judged in the Eastern Canadian Championship. My last gun was Tippman with flatline barrel.

I've only played once this year, but at the beginning of the summer bought the boy child his own gun.

It's a ton of fun but never forget that it is a game and not the real thing.

Yep. in real life i can not hit the reset buttion. If i could i would probably join the military but hey since i cant i dont. I have enough issues worrying about people shooting at me without adding in a whole nother country trying to get me.

I have a tippman 98 and a PGP. Also aquired a f4 illustrator but it doesnt work and cant get it to work for the life of me. I think it needs a new valve but good luck finding one for that, wish i could though since i flipped the ASA and love to use it for point position since my tippy is a bit bulky & heavy for that position

Love my pgp though. Theres nothing quite like the feeling of being under near auto fire by speedballers and tagging them with a pump on a ahem "lucky shot" :D lol

You may learn about cover but objects that will stop a paintball will certainly not stop a bullet. Actually your skills may be counterproductive

We used to have a regular Sunday woodsballl game with 10-20+ people,most of them very proficient and aggresive. I consider that couple years to be far superior small-arms,small-unit training than anything I ever recieved as a peace-time Marine infantryman.

Hey now, that's my kind of game. If you can't use cover and comm, you don't need to be playing in the first place. And... playing stock on a speedball field sure will teach you that.

yep. Ill remember that next time bullets are flying at me and i try to hide behind a nylon baloon shaped like a giant soda can

and i agree jordan but a chain is only at strong as the weakest link. I cannot count the ammount of times ive broken defenses and left a nice wide gaping hole for my team, screaming at them to advance and there all still hiding in the back bunker with a gun at a 45 lobbing paint haphazardly in the other bloody direction. Thats why i hate playing walk-on and if you dont come with a team you get stuck with the walkons. freeball in the woods when the occasional game floats my way is usualy better even if ive never met them before you can tell they have been in the game for a while but...god walk-on sucks
