Default Bullet-Proof Breast Plate

Advertise Here

...hey folks. I'm kind of a noooob around here, but I love all this survival stuff and recently joined. I'm really enjoying reading some of these threads.

So here's my questions:

If you could have a small protective breast-plate inserted to protect your heart from a gun shot, or a knife attack would you consider surgery to have one implanted?
  • The plate would NOT be visible, i.e no-one would see it even when you took your shirt off.
  • A small incision would be made and a scar barely visible.
  • For the moment lets just assume that the technology exists to make this work.

I know this sounds kind of random, but I wander if any else here has wacky self-preservation thoughts...

how would you bend over or be able to do sit ups with a plate inplanted in your chest.buy a vest,no matter what you could wear theres a bullet out there that could defeat it.even a vest with a armor plate, a armor percing round of the right caliper could go threw it.

I really dislike hospitals, doctors and surgery so NO. Also would be way too expensive and body armor or other bullet proof clothing would be better and cheaper. Not to mention the doctors might put me away in a mental hospital for wanting something like that

But if I think that there is a definite possibility of being attacked and the ShasHTF then I would sleep and mostly live in my underground bunker - seen here, for any who may possibly not seen this thread yet >

I just carry stale cheese in my front left shirt pocket. It stops all bullets. Just don't use swiss cheese as a bullet could go through one of the holes...you never know.

I think about these things.

It's not so much a survivalist scenario, just a possible response to what I see as one of the vulnerable parts of the body.

Actually, I also have an entrepreneurial bone and because its something I think I would consider paying for I wanted to hear your guys feedback.

I'm guessing from the responses that its not a particularly enticing business venture.

I dunno, the human body does wierd things to foreign objects.

I had stainless steel plates in one of my arms for a year and when they were removed you could see where they were already being corroded.

Its not just your heart that you need to protect.. theres lungs kidneys stomac Diapram (need to breath) Lose your lungs good by... lose your diapram and you cant breath your dead.. bullet doesnt have to hit in the heart to kill theres still headshots lung shots major arterys in the legs neck arms that can kill you in minites if you get hit there or cut.. surgry inplant that its silly.. you lose felxablity if you did that just stand up straight and move left to right with out moveing your legs.. now imange a plate holding you still ... Not partaical.. body amour isnt 100 percent but it can stop some bullets.. but usally fail on the knife... there there are knife proof vest that are bulky.. (usally) one doest better then others on some tasks then others..
