Default Back ordered Ammo

Advertise Here

i bought 440 rnds of 7.62X54r from sportman guide and even purchased the membership thinking i would order much more from them in the future.. well after placing my order i read that it wont ship untill the 4th!.....

i though ok i let them put me on back order as they dont charge untill the package ships

so i went to ammo to go ordered 200 rounds of 7.62x54R Czech Military Light Ball.. these guys are so backed up that they claim the cant ship for 9-12 days!! i just want to see how this M39 shoots LOL uumm or if i can even handle this gun LOL it might be a bit much for me

does anyone have a few 54R rounds they want to sell?

last I checked aimsurplus had lots of it. Otherwise go down to a local gun store and buy one box just to see if you like the rifle.

You should be glad that you can get it shipped that quick, try looking for 7.62X39 ammo, wow, seems the only ammo I can find for it is the Cor-bon stuff that costs $40-50/20.

If you think you wont be ordering from them again and that you wont be needing the membership you can ask them to refund the membership, minus whatever you saved on the order. $25.00 membership, if you saved $10.00 they will refund the $15.00. But, the first couple years I found all kind of nifty stuff I didn't know I needed or wanted and the membership was worth it. If you think you may need other camping stuff or outdoor clothing, etc. you may be ahead to keep it for the first year anyways.

Good luck on the ammo, hoping for a speedy delivery.

Cool Most ammo. supply houses,

Are being overrun with orders and are short of man or woman power. That would be a good place to seek employment for the future.

Keep your senses sharp and your weapons clean, loaded, and ready. Like the stock market, we haven't hit bottom yet.

Unless you weigh 60 pounds, you'll do fine with the rifle. It is a stout round, but very effective. Worth a sore shoulder. ;-)

I am going to the guide in about 25 minutes here. I was there last sat. and they had like 10 cans of .308 behind the counter.......but way to pricey for me

By the way reichgirl, and anyone for that matter, you can call the 1-800 number and ask how much of an item they have left. Before I shoot over to the warehouse, I always call the number and when they ask "do you want to place a credit card order", I just say "no, I just want to see how much of a certain item you have left in stock"....then give them the item number and they'll usually tell you how many are left.

buy a decelerator pad, the soft one; if you go to Waltermart, it is the expensive one, like $20. You may have to shorten the stock, because the pad will add 1 to 2 inches length, but on a Mosin, just saw it right off. f you using a coping saw you can saw the curve in and it will look better. Bass Poor also carries them but i think they are $28. They do work great, Savage actually ships them on a lot of their rifles, and Rem has on a few now i've noticed.
