Youtube removing hunting videos

Well, it seems that one of my videos showing how to skin a squirrel has been removed from youtube. Even though the squirrel was taken in accordance with the laws of the state of Texas, I dont guess that matters.

My youtube account received a warning which will last for 6 months. Because of this I have removed several of my other hunting videos before my account gets into any more trouble.

While doing a few google searches to try and find out what is going on, I found a fishing website where a guy posted that youtube had removed one of his hunting videos.

It seems that our basic God given rights are slowly being stripped away. To me, if youtube is going to allow cooking videos, they should show "where" the meat came from. Its ok to show the end results, but we do not want to see anything else.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be migrating a lot of my videos to other video sites. I have another youtube account. I will probably start uploading videos to that account, just in case my main account gets deleted.

I have been following this for a little while, and strangely it seems that the "youtube gods" do this to random topics. I have seen cars, camping, stoves, cooking, reviews, tv shows, etc. etc. get removed, users banned, and no reasons from youtube. Funny thing is I guarantee I can go there and lookup (illegal topics) and see millions of videos.......

As you know I have been done with youtube for awhile, but if you find somewhere truly nice let me know please. I have 10-12 hours of videos with no "home" on the net.

I completely agree with you. Perhaps those of us who think this is wrong should all write youtube about this grievance. Even if it does nothing to change thier minds we can at least say we tried.
I am really bummbed to hear that too, because I personally love to go on youtube and watch all of the hunting videos. I moved away from michigan and live in nevada where right now due to lack of funds I have to live vicariously through other hunters adventures till I can get back home.

I will be writing a letter concerning this. I feel it has a learning experiance to it. There are millions of people out there that does not have a clue as how to dress game. This is so typical of today's "PC" crowd.

How hard would it be for someone like KEV to create a video depository like Youtube??? I know popularity of the sight is worldwide, but there has to be others that are frustrated also.

It tkes a LOT of space and bandwidth to keep video stocks like that...so Kev would probably have to have sponsors like Youtube and them have.

Someone probably pitched a fit about "animal cruelty" and had it taken down. I agree; a lack of balls is the problem here. YouTube can host and remove anything it wants - it isn't our god-given right to use their privately-owned service - but it's sad nonetheless.

as an avid squirrel hunter im outraged at this i looked for the vid to show my nephews who are new to hunting, the way other people skin them, i eat squirrel bad deer season up here in maine so thats whats filling my freezer, other than rabbits and some partridge, but my point is i have i right to watch hunting vids just like a nascar fan can watch someone race, kev broke no damn law killing the animal as humanly as possible, the animal was consumed, and his video gets banned what a crock of crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so all i can say to you tube is get bent.

It should be illegal to show any meat related cooking videos if skinning cannot be shown. If you cannot skin, you cannot cook.

What sucks is that I was going to refer to that video when I catch a squirrel (Never tried to get one before but I really want to see what one tastes like).

Anyway, I guess I'm going to have to rip your videos off of youtube before more get pulled by youtube boobs.
