Default Conservatives should not fund the RNC.

With the GOP leadership doing everything in their power to attack the few true constitutional conservatives, conservative and Libertarian minded people should not be funding the RNC. There are better places to get better candidates. Groups like The Heritage Foundation and your local and state groups that are based on preserving the Constitution and founding principles would be a better vehicle IMO.

If you have a State mechanism like a Tea Party group that supports your views, they're what helped defeat the GOP establishment in TX that got Ted Cruz into the Senate. The GOP leadership fought his nomination all the way. On a national scale I don't know of a group more committed to the Constitution than Heritage Foundation but I'm certain there are others. Find one that you can support and believe in and cut the GOP off where it hurts them most, the money they need to prop up their puppets at election time.

I told them after they ran Romney to not call me again until they ran a real conservative. No calls since.

Thay called me about three months ago and I told them that untill thay embraced the libertarian idea that thay would not have to worry about winning the Presidency. And that if I did have some money to donate that I would be giving it to Rand Paul.

Donations to the RNC or DNC are the same as voting for their candidates - a waste.

I did the exact same thing. And I kept the guy on the line a long time telling him exactly why.

GOPAC was created to get around the republican party establishment and to recruit and fund small-government conservatives who want to run for office rather than the moderate to liberal candidates the party establishment homes in on.

Also they give you access to video, audio, and other training materials on their website and in various seminars around the country if you are trying to organize politically.

http://www.gopac.org/university/

There's also an archive of GOPAC material in the National Recording Preservation Board of the Library of Congress (the 24th item on the list) at

http://www.loc.gov/rr/record/nrpb/re...b-2010reg.html

Giving to the tea parties is fine but

...most of them are still fighting with the IRS over their tax-exempt status and recent news reports indicate the IRS hasn't backed off their demands for membership lists and identities of donors.

...many of the small local organizations aren't very good at organizing and becoming visible much less finding effective candidates on their own.

...the organizations which are effective likely have had exposure to GOPAC training or something similar and will be looking for similar candidates.

Working with your local tea party is great. Giving of your limited amount of money to any group before you know if its going to be used effectively by them might not be so great.

I love the GOP 'surveys' they send. I don't ever answer by checking the boxes...I write out my solutions on the survey form. Come the end of the survey, they ask for a contribution...that's when I really go Tea Party on them. Bush, McCain, Romney...is that the best we have to offer...I HOPE TO HELL NOT!

I have sent Monopoly money on several occasions.

And after reading the above you question why Obozo and the rest of the Socialist Democrats are running the country?

The Liberterian Party/Tea Party are the only ones that comes close to my views, but unfortunately the only choices are Repub or Dem.

Not supporting the Repubs got a Dem elected.

Let me fix that for ya: Not supporting the Libertarian style Republican got a Marxist elected. And then re-elected.

Dems = Communists.

Republicans = Dems.

The sad new reality, for the most part. About half of the house republicans and a handful or two of republican senators are actually fighting for the republic and the constitution. That's it.

I agree!

I wish everyone would agree with me but unfortunately there are many within the Republican party that don't. I do believe this nation is starving for a true conservative candidate who is pro-2nd, pro-business and understands that America works best when government's foot-print in our lives is minimal.

The sad part to me is that most people don't realize the news is that good.

Way too many people write off all the Republicans as being just as bad as the Democrats without looking inside the Republican party to see what the situation is really like.

If someone who thinks that way is willing to invest 41 minutes of his life into watching this GOPAC training video with an open mind, I think his opinion of "throw all Republicans into the same bin as Democrats" would be changed.

(a multi-day training session that was filmed in 1993 and later edited and released as a training video in 1996)

The only problem is that what they have to offer is still a hell of a lot better than what the liberals have to offer

I think you can simplify your thread title to: people should stop funding political parties. It doesn't matter what the mafia calls itself, it is, or will be, just a bunch of corrupt mafioso.

That still doesn't make them Libertarians.

Yup, and that's why they didn't get the vote of the conservatives. Those two elitist Republicans also couldn't swing the Democrat/lesser of two evil votes that were looking for someone other than Obama. It was a lock both elections for the communists/fascist/Marxists.

I think it's time to make Republican and Democrat the new curse word for the next millennium.

The Republican party lost my trust a long time ago. They are just as bad as the democrats with the exception of a few.
