Default Russian SKS value / price?

Advertise Here

For you guys who appreciate the SKS and are knowledgeable about the Russian variant, what price are these REALLY going for these days?

Spec's: 1953 Tula refurb, all matching, "NHM" Importer - Sacto Ca. Original sling and bayo. Stock as X'ed out original SN but the rest are all the same, including the new # stamped into the stock.

Any input appreciated.

UP TO $1,100. No............REALLY!

Over twice what it's worth these days in excellent shape.

And the Russian isn't the variant...it's the original!

1953 TULA refurb? id say $600

has 1 sold for $1000, sure, but there are plenty out there, and because people are asking $1000 doesnt mean it will sell for that.

i can still get NEW IN BOX mak90's for about $1000 delivered

I had a guy offer to sell me one for 500 dollars or so and when I checked on gunbroker they where going for about 600 dollars. Sadly I had to say no due to lack of money.

Right now I would say 650 would be the most I would want to pay. I personally refuse to pay these outrageous inflated prices. Although I don't mind paying a few bucks more than normal since demand is slightly up.

Thanks for that info guys. About 600-650 was what I figured too, but 1000 would tempt me to sell. I'll probably keep it anyway unless a nice deal comes along.

I bought a nice 1954 Tula in March 2012 for $225 at a pawn shop. Gun shows in the area were selling all make SKS's in any condition for no less than $500 an no more than $800

After Aurora shooting I went to the same pawn shop an they were selling a pos SKS Norinco for $450. Looked like a child assaulted it with a paint brush an stain.

A good, clean Russian SKS in good working order and overall good condition generally runs in the $550-600 range these days. More will generally command immaculate condition.
