folks anyone have any experience with russian surplus demilled ammo ? found somewhere that has it pretty reasonable. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with excessive jam or feeding issues with this ammo.

Demilled ammo? When you demill something... you render it inert. Why would you want inert ammo?

I take it your talking about the Russian 7.62 x 39 ammo that was being sold at SGAmmo. Basically all they did was pull the steel core bullet which is illegal to import into the US and replace it with a Berry's 123 gr. plated RNFP bullet.

Unless they downloaded the rd. I would mess with it due to the fact that the Berry's plated bullet is only rated to 1900 fps. MV and can shred it's jacket if pushed faster. The ammo is also 1970 vintage and is corrosive primed.

Yep right on Berry's sight, do not exceed 1900FPS. I never have been fond of plated vs jacketed. It also says it may tend to jam being SP. Not really that great of a price anyways for what it is.

But I wouldn't count on them actually having any. They are closed right now until after new years. They are still listing bulk ammo at pre panic prices. You can expect their mailboxes are full of orders already.
