Default SIG Sauer M400 enhanced version walmart black friday

Advertise Here

Walmart blackfriday sales have been posted. They are showing a Sig Sauer SIGM400 Enhanced Carbine Rifle for $867.

Quote:
Product description from walmart

A 16-inch chrome-lined phosphate-coated barrel provides superior corrosion resistance and a 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum-forged lower receiver adds to the durability and reliability that users come to expect from Sig Sauer.

This OD version features a black upper and lower receiver, OD green polymer Magpul MOE forend, grip and collapsible stock. Ships with an embroidered Sig Sauer rifle bag.
Its on page 33 of the sales paper.

http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...-enhanced.aspx

The description is what I have been looking for with the OD green furniture.

Does anyone have experience with this rifle?

Has anyone taken a course with the SIG Sauer M400?

From what I am seeing, the SIG Sauer M400 has a AR-15 bolt carrier as compared to a M-16 bolt carrier.

Magpul furniture - Magpul Moe forend, grip, and stock

Comes with a Pmag

My current AR is an older model Bushmaster made back during the assault rifle ban.

I would like to upgrade to something a little more current, so what do you guys think?

Just the magpul accessories are worth what, $150 - $200?

This rifle would be used for taking on camping trips, river trips, home defense after hurricanes,,,, that kind of stuff.

If nothing else, maybe replace the sig carbine upper with a Palmetto state armory mid-length upper? That way I have a spare upper.

I have this on layaway at Dunham's for $999. My Walmart said they can't currently get them in stock and have no idea when they will.

I just purchased the baseline model M400 and absolutely love it. Fires great groups and I paid 799 for mine. So I think it is a pretty good deal if you can get it

2 things some folks love or hate about it

1.) Has built in swivel stud in the recever on each side
2.) Ambidextrous mag release

You can see both in the pic, but if you need any up close pics let me know

man, I'd almost be afraid to buy a rifle in the midst of black friday. Last time I was in walmart on black friday, that place was inches away from a riot, and the cops were TENSE.

Nonsense, proper use of communication skills are the key in tense, crowded situations as they taught me in the seminar...as you are pushing your way in through that mass of self involved humanity, merely announce in a loud, firm voice that commands respect and attenion "Move the F out of my way, I'm here to pick up my rifle" and you'll be treated with respect.

Kev,
If it has the MAGPUL forward stock Pistol grip and Butstock I'ld say get it. I have one and it's a 1-7 twist 16" barrel, It's a great rifle, I have over 1000 rounds through it and not one ftf or fte. I replaced the sights with mbus flip up sights and put a red dot on it. You won't go wrong with this rifle. Beware of the rear sight though the windage knobs aren't stiff enough to stay put when you flip the sight up or put it down.

What red dot did you put on your rifle?

If I am going to buy a new rifle, why not go ahead and put some optics on it?

Kev,

I put a little cheapo tru-glo red dot from wally world on it. I'm saving up a good red dot plus magnifier combo maybe an aimpoint or trijicon.

I am not a fan of the rear sling QD placement. I think the end-plate is a better location. Other than that, it's just another SIG product, and I'll pass.

I have that AR and it is a good shooter. Thousands of rounds down the tube and never an issue. It has not been particular on what it shoots either. Fast tear down for easy cleaning. I use a Blackhawk 3 point sling on it. Everyone has their opinions but I think this is a nice AR for the price.

I think it's a fine rifle, but then again, my wife says I'm an idiot. I passed on the SigAr they had at Wally's a while back because it had the full length stock and the gas piston design and I wanted something that would be compatible with the more common parts of a DI system. I had also read where some manufacturers were having issues with gas piston AR systems, so I though it better to wait until they worked all the bugs out. I wanted the collapsible stock so I could use the rifle while wearing body armor. Other than that, I've read that the Sigs were good rifles.

Found out today the walmart in my town (Jasper Texas) is not going to have the Sig Sauer M400.

The next nearest walmart is not going to have the rifle either.

Looks like I might have to drive an hour one way to get a Sig Sauer M400.

This really ****es me off. I bet walmart is going to have plenty of video games, wii, playstation,,,, and everything else, but no AR-15s?

What is happening to this nation that a local walmart does not carry a rifle it advertises?

Screw video games and TVs, I want a Sig Sauer M400.

I was able to snag the 1 of 5 at our local store. Wife was the first in line, with 3 others behind her getting one. Turned out to be the BLK one.. which, I was surprised when she texted me photos. VERY HAPPY.
