I need some help in figuring out how to mount a small scope on my Mossberg 352KB .22 rifle (purchased back in the 60's).
The receiver is "grooved" along the top, and from what I can find on various Internet sites, this is either "dovetail" or "weaver" grooves. According to the info, dovetail is 3/8" and weaver is...well, something else, but I'm not sure what. I couldn't find any pictures that specifically show the differences between the two.
Anyone know what kind of mounts this gun takes?
Is there any way I can accurately measure to know what kind of mounts I need to buy? From my measurements, it looks like it's 5/8" between grooves, but I may be measuring from the wrong points.
