Default Rock Island Armory (Armscor) M5 Matte nickel 12 gauge

Advertise Here

Does anyone have any hands on experience with this RIA 12 gauge? It looks like its built kinda on the 870 platform. Its beautiful. Action is smoother than my 870 my mossberg mav88 and my benelli nova. Comes with tri rail forend installed. Jewelled bolt. I think im going to pick one up tonight. Anyone have any range time with it?

The website says "Full lifetime warranty" sounds worth looking at.

I found it for 233.00 i went and filled out the paperwork tonight. For some reason they put a hold on my application ( probably because i just purchased a couple of firearms over the weekend.) So i should here back tommorow or the next day. Ill give everyone the range review on it.

The guy called me yesterday and told me i could come pick it up. So i went in after lunch today and paid 246.19 out the door. It has a heatsheild and the buttstock allows for 2 additional shells. Lifetime warranty card is filled out. Its heavier than my mossberg maverick 88, has a metal trigger assembly and no plastic pins in the forend like the maverick 88. A very solid feel to it, I have never seen a shotgun that has an action as smooth as this as well as the jewelled bolt. If you hit the release lever for the forend the action will slide completely open allowing a shell to come into the feed arm. When i hit the release on the mossberg it barely moves and unlocks. I love my mossberg and will never get rid of it, but this is by far the nicest budget 18.5" barrel shotgun i have seen. I am going to go shoot it this afternoon.

i got the parkerized finish. He had the all black one for 225.00. But i wouldnt doubt if he had it marked up an extra 20 or 30 because he is the only gunstore (besides pawnshops) for 25-30 miles.

This is true. It is an almost exact copy of the old High Standard Flite King. These were superbly designed shotguns. Kind of like an 870 on steroids. They have twin action rails, heavy-duty extractors, and are all steel.

I have one that was imported by the now defunct Mitchell Arms. I have about 250 rounds through it without a hitch (high brass buckshot). Mine is the police model with a cylinder choke. At 30 yards, it throws about a 12-15 inch pattern, depending on ammo.

I put 75 shells down range yesterday. 00buck slugs and some cheapo universal 8. Had a lot of fun suprisingly accurate with slugs.

Dang, does anyone know if there is a place selling them (have on the shelves) these shotguns at a reasonable price in the Southern Puget Sound region?

IDK other than gunbroker and paying an FFL transfer. Apparently the matte nickel is a limited production.

I got the M5 parkerized with the heat sheild at the gunshow in Hickory NC for $220 OTD. I've put around 65 rounds through it and love this shotgun. I'll second the smoothness of the action...

Default Nice Home Defense Shotgun

Picked mine up Sunday Dec 30. I like to stock with the 2 extra round holder. The weight of the shotgun is good and heavy. Action smooth and quick. I want to add a flashlight under the barrel and a sling. $205.00
