Is there such a thing as "unclean food" in this day and age. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unclean_animals
Also, if so, what about GMO's, fake foods and 5 syllable man made pseudo foods?
Your thoughts. What can I eat to survive until HIS return? Mickey D's and Soda?

Just ask God to bless whatever you are going to eat, ask that it will be a blessing to your body and no bad side affects. He will make sure it is good for you. I was a diabetic, but am no longer plauged with the problem. God Bless

Eat anything that's Kosher or Halal.

vegitarianism isn't possible in a survival setting and neither is kosher.

Unless you're just talking about everyday living, in which case it really depends on how you interprete Jesus's speech about unclean things coming in or out of the mouth.

I can't say much for all that, but if you value your life in a survival situation, then only consider what is or isn't unclean in terms of diseases.

Leviticus 11 has a list of foods that God says are unclean. I try to abstain from those.

I also read food labels.

God wants us to eat healthy so that we are healthy. He does not wish for us to get diseases.

As far as "this day and age" it can be difficult to find healthy foods.

Even produce in the stores have pesticides and such on them.

I realize that not every one can grow their own food.

I would say that being as God knows us on a personal basis, He wants us to make an effort to eat healthy.

I use to love crawfish, catfish and pork.

I no longer eat these things. I make and effort and God knows this.

I do not think God would be angry at us for abstaining from these things and attempt to eat healthier.

In my personal experience, if we do make an effort, God makes a way and helps us.

I store:

-Rice
-Wheat
-Pasta(s)
-Lentils
-Sugar
-Salt
-split peas
-Varieties of spices
-Varieties on beans
-Canned tuna
-Canned beef
-Canned hamburger
-Canned bacon
-Canned fruits
-Canned veggies
-Canned powdered milk
-oils

And a thousand other smaller items. There is NO Christian foods or foods that shouldn't be eaten in a Christian context. There are exceptions and restrictions within Judaism and other religions. You should be respectful to those religions and their beliefs, don't try to tell them they are wrong or stupid, it's just their belief so don't try to be "all-knowing" arse etc.

Eat clean, stay healthy!

Yeshua makes scavengers for His purposes...clean up crews; not for food.

My view:

Quote:
Genesis 9:1-4 "Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it."

Acts 15:22-29 "Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, two men who were leaders among the brothers. With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,
To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:

Greetings.

We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

Farewell."

Romans 14:14,20 "As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean." "Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats."
In the Law given to Noah, all animals were given for food; but in the Law given to the Ancient Israelites, some animals were excluded - and rightfully so as God was forming a nation for himself out of the Israelites and knew that certain animals were prone to carry diseases (hepatitis in shellfish and trichinosis in pigs, and who knows in scavengers) which could put the struggling tribes in danger.

I personally believe that those dietary restrictions were lifted, but if conditions during the Great Tribulation deteriorate into chaos, and sanitary conditions cannot be guaranteed, then it may be wise to consider some of the ancient prohibitions and take a pass on the shellfish and pork.

God told Adam that anything green was good for food.

So are you going to eat poison ivy . . . or hemlock?

Do you think Adam did?

That really is a good question.

The difficulty is only Adam and Jesus, from his pre-human existance, knew what it was like to live on earth before the Fall of Man when all things were in harmony with each other. All history since the Fall is of an Earth suffering under the consequences from the time of the fall.

Romans 8:19-22 "The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time."

Well then I hope he does the same for you.

I mostly agree with adobewalls. If I remember right, most cases of uncleaness were treated with exile(or at least removal for a period). It was kind of like a quarantine back in those days, to protect the rest of the tribe from illness.
