Default Vitamin E liquid caplets for wound healing

Advertise Here

I was reading online and found that people cut these open and put the liquid on scars to help them heal quicker. I tried it for a bit and it seemed to work much better than the scar removal creams. People were saying that vitamin E helped heal wounds...not sure if its because of the antioxidants or what.

I don't fully trust these sources though. Do yall think that putting the liquid from vitamin E caplets in an open wound would help them to heal up quicker? Or do you think it's just something that helps scars fade?

I use extra virgin olive oil a lot for this with what I feel are good results ... contains a lot of vitamin e as well as other vitamins/nutrients.

Also works better than any hand and/or face lotion I've ever tried. Hope this helps.

I don't know if olive oil/vit e (both good) will help the wound heal and I wouldn't put it on a wound that had not yet scabbed. But either of those will certainly help decrease the scar formation.

You should check with doctor before putting anything into an open wound. I have used vitamin E liquid on scars and it does seem to help them heal.

ya there have been some studies showing E helps wounds heal. Not going to heal overnite like Wolverine but helps the time and with scarring. That might be practical day to day but not sure how much that helps in a SHTF situation.

I have used to use E oil and even tried olive oil on my face. Definitely helps the skin look good but didn't like the feeling.

Vitimin E is what I used when I got a deep wound on my thumb from a machete. It was about a 1/4 inch deep wound that went in diagonally so it made kind of a "flap" I would put the Vitamin E oil around the "flap" and the scar is barely noticeable now, I have to point it out to people for them to see it.
