Cute commercial. Should of been a Ford F150 4X4, though.

I drive an F150, and I think that was a great Chevy ad. Very creative with the apocalyptic references! The Zombie Land reference was slick.

Anyone remember this a year or so ago?

Any failure in any of those vehichles is far more likely due to the poor execution by the driver than the machines designs or parts.

I would agree more with commercial if it show cased the Chevy Suburban. Just my two cents opinion.

I have to agree, that is if it is one of the old ones like they had in the 80's. In the Army we call them Technicals. Watch the 3 part show from top gear called how to kill a helix, which is better known here as an 80's era toyota pickup.

ItaliaspeedTV - Dodge "Snowpocalypse" (TV advert, February 2011) - YouTube
Yeah, that was a much better commercial.

Haha. Would love to see a Ford rebuttal by rebroadcasting that commercial they did where they interviewed an owner and he said he would rather buy something that wasn't owned by the government.

I would be. I've put a lot of miles on a lot of trucks. It's always been the fords that have held tough the longest and when they failed it would typically be something minor that you could put up with a change at your leisure, like a power steering pump.
The chevies I've had have all had the most consistent problems, usually something minor that would stop you dead in your tracks, and also the most catastrophic failures. Their one saving grace is that any given part for one is going to be cheaper than the other guys....then again, that is probably why those same parts are failing to begin with.
The dodges and toyotas have faired about the same, right in the middle.

If you take a look at what is being driven up in the high arctic where I was living, a place with no roads, so everything was off-road, and the harshest environment for anything mechanical you will find a complete domination of three brands. Bombardier for snow mobiles, honda for quads, and fords for trucks. Why? Because that is all that works reliably and lasts long enough to make having one freighted in on a barge worth it.

Like I said, it's a cute commercial, but this is how it's done in the real world:
