Default List of towns/counties that are signed on to Agenda 21

Advertise Here

Scroll down to the bottom to see if your town or county has signed on to Agenda 21. Some say that this agenda give government the right to abolish your personal property rights, levy your taxes, control all agriculture and decide where you can and cannot build a house/business. Honestly, I don't know anything about this, what do you think??

well i have to say i don't know much about this group.

but i will say, how is this any plan they have suppose to happen?

since the u.s. will not have the funds to DO ANYTHING in less than 10 years.

if they keep to the agenda and pace they are on.

again, we are headed for a 28 trillion dollar national debt by 2021.

the u.s. will have no money by then too fund government.

Not too sure how they plan on implementing this. They are trying to get as many towns involved as possible. When they can control land area, and kick people off their own property, what is one to do?

agenda 21

http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/agenda21/r...nda21_00.shtml

Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.

Agenda 21, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the Statement of principles for the Sustainable Management of Forests were adopted by more than 178 Governments at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, 3 to 14 June 1992.

The Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) was created in December 1992 to ensure effective follow-up of UNCED, to monitor and report on implementation of the agreements at the local, national, regional and international levels. It was agreed that a five year review of Earth Summit progress would be made in 1997 by the United Nations General Assembly meeting in special session.

The full implementation of Agenda 21, the Programme for Further Implementation of Agenda 21 and the Commitments to the Rio principles, were strongly reaffirmed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 26 August to 4 September 2002.

Very little of Illinois, actually. Chicago area and Champaign/Urbana. No big surprise there.

I detest environazis, but I'm a little confused with your link.

This is a list of members of Local Governments for Sustainability.

Where do you see an Agenda 21 connection?

Granted, progressive political issues such as sustainability are often simply a form of money/power grab of business and individual property rights. But I couldn't find anything that indicates all these U.S. cities have 'signed on' to the UN's deplorable Agenda 21...
