Easy Fix for Bum Zipper

I know this isn't life saving advice, but c'mon cut me a break, I've never been in a do or die situation. This however, could be very useful to someone.

I HATE ZIPPERS THAT DON'T STAY UP!

This is my remedy for bum zippers. All you need is a basic key ring.
Attach key ring to zipper pull tab, zip zipper, place button through key ring, and button pants as normal. I will Post pics as soon as this newbie status is removed from my membership and I am allowed to do so....

You can also squeeze the edge of the zipper channel with your plyers to tighten the zipper.

My uncle does the keyring thing but for a different reason. His hands are so crippled up from arthritis its easier to grasp than the zipper tab.

Go through an area thick with briars and you may then say it is indeed a life saving proposition

I fixed one of my zippers my attaching a small cord to the zipper and slinging it around the button. I left a little extra cord (button side) with a knot so it is easier to grab and undo. Worked amazing for these pants I had that were, up to that point.. an eternal frustration!

LOL you guys that think it is a stupid idea have obviously not spent much time crawling around in briars and ****. I used to do this when i was working our bad fence rows and again when i was working in tight crwl spaces....

Okay its a good idea... but I have this mental picture of a rabbit's foot dangling in front of the trouser zipper...

Is there really a newbie status that prevents uploads? I was gong to contact someone regarding that problem.
