Hmm, Loveland Colorado. I would not mind swinging by to look at the panels and Kit.

Tobkis,

That would be great if you get eyes on...

looks good, love the concept, works in aircaraft....

I like the fact that is can be broken down, stored, assembled and sat on a small trailer that my sedan can tow.....

now, i just need to psyop the wife.....

Exclamation

I want their 8'X8' Shelter kits for my Hunting Blinds. Those look awesome, and since it says they are well insulated, I would enjoy Camping out in them too.
I would have ordered one, but it said, "Deposit Only".
If they just went ahead and said what it Cost they would have had me make an Impulse Buy.

That is very interesting. I have been planning on making a BOT with a 4x8 trailer. I already have a 5x10 utility trailer, but I use it for other things and cannot enclose it to make it a dedicated BOT.

But these are pretty interesting, I wonder if that $6000.00 is the actual price or is it cheaper?? The website doesnt say.

On the other side though, for $6000.00 I can buy a nice pop up camper or continue with my plan and build a smaller Bug out Trailer...... Hmmmmmm

I will be in that area Thursday, I sent them a email requesting that I want to look at the product and will post it on Thursday evening. My concern is so many joints.

They don't post the weight. That would be something important to include.

On the other hand the last backwoods home magazine showed you how to build a camper on a 4x8 trailer. It would be substantially less than 5 grand.

I just finished talking with Larry at the web site via emails, I asked him to join this forum so he can answer questions directly, lets see what happens? From what I read it is somewhat in the start up phase and has the 5x10 on display.

says a hair over 300 lbs.

Latest forum post says that they are still in dev stages, so you can't really buy it yet.

there are many viable options for small campers.

When I had my Goldwing I went to many rallies and these where pretty popular with the motorcycle crowd

http://www.bf-specialties.com/

very compact, and small enough to be towed be a touring bike.

Just a thought

btw, I sold the bike, bought a nice BOL, and I have no affiliation with these guys

these things are really cool, I want one! a little too pricey for me though. I think you could get a decent pop up for less money.

Anyone interested in these should consider the fiberglass "egg" campers like Uhaul, Casita, Burro, Scamp. There are well within this price range and likely much more durable. I could easily see this modular system not remaining water tight.

Here is a picture of my Uhaul
