Chokes are specific to gun make and model so the answer is no they won't interchange. What length barrel and choke are on the 870 now? Slugs work well with most standard setups which I assume your using for deer..

Some chokes are interchangeable between some shotguns, someone had a list in one or more of the threads around here but can't remember details.
Charles Daly chokes for the pump and semi-auto shotguns will fit Remington pump and semi-auto shotguns, Mossberg chokes of the 500 persuasion will fit Winchester Win-Choke shotguns. There are several that will interchange but I can't remember all of them. I have a Charles Daly shotgun that I buy Rem Chokes for it and they work perfectly. |

There are only 2-4 different thread patterns used on shotgun choke tubes. I believe a vast majority are the same threads used on Winchesters, Browning, and Mossbergs. Remington has the more uncommon threads.

Some manufacturer's chokes WILL interchange with other manufacturer's shotguns, you just have to know who will fit who. Here's a link to a chart that will tell the interchangeability of probably every shotgun manufacturer available.

Get a polychoke you can just twist the size of choke you need on
the end of you barrel.... Midway and Brownells as well as many others have polychokes..... http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2.../POLY-CHOKE-II http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/759...choke-12-gauge http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/581...sberg-12-gauge |

I agree. I put a screw-in Poly-Choke on my Remington 11-87 and don't have to worry about keeping up with choke tubes and having the right one during a defensive situation. Plus you have Extra open and Extra full settings for those situations that call for them as well as all those between.
Just my opinion.

Most are brand specific. If you have a Weatherby or SKB shotgun they can use the same chokes interchangable as they are threaded the same. At least that was the case when Weatherbys were made in Japan by SKB. Some Browning and Miruko shotguns have the same arrangement as Weatherby and SKB did.
