Default The Dangers of the "Hebrew Roots" Movement

Here is a small collection of decent reads:

Newbies here - beware.

(Note: I do NOT agree with all the thoughts and theology of the writers of these various documents, but what they have to say about the HRM is worthwhile.)

Rootsers - the first one who *changes the subject* by bringing up "The Inquisition" or some other silly anti-Catholic rant *loses*.

That people might walk around saying "The Pope isn't equal to 'God' on earth"?

That people might learn the Name by which they might be saved?

That people might actually read the Torah and learn
that the traditions of men, be they Jews or Catholics,
do NOT have precedence over the recorded word of YHWH Elohim?

All VERY dangerous for the Church.

You are absolutely correct.

As a Catholic you should view the Hebrew Roots movement as the Adversary,
because it IS here to convict Rome.

I wonder if I started a

"The Dangers of Catholicism and the RCC" thread....

...how long that would last.

I'm not going to report because whenever you set yourself up against the LAW (given by Father/Christ) and PROPHETS (lead by Father/Christ) which testify of CHRIST....you are just setting your own trap and digging your own grave.....

I'm just gonna:

Once and for all. We are not part of the Hebrew Roots Movement.
I never even heard of this movement till Catholics falsely labeled us with that name. Some in here might be but most who, I have talked to who follow God's commandment and laws do it out of obedience not, because of a cult of movement.

If you want to label me label me Messianic Christian. Obedient servant of Yeshua or something like that but not Hebrew roots movement.

I would like to know.

Who here is part of the Messianic Roots movement and who isn't?

I am not saying the Hebrew roots movement is bad, I just have not had time yet to research it and don't know much about it.

I do know a lot about the RCC though so I say, Beware, there are dangers with the RCC!

Never been to a "Hebrew Roots" thingy.....

.....just a regular Christian holding God's Law and Commandments near and dear.

The only "movement" I have ever been apart of is the USMC. Some say it's a cult.

Never heard of it. Wouldn't know what your talking about.

Why is it that those who are against obedience to Gods law are the ones who are always visiting these silly "movement" websites.
But those who are here preaching obedience are sticking with scripture?

It's too bad they can't get past their own prejudices...
Labeling anyone who obeys the voice of God to keep His sanctified day holy as a "rootser" or "Judaiser"...
that is so..... Constantinian...

Hey! I think I just discovered a new name for those Sunday keepers... not Christians... but Constantinians....

Grace and peace to you

Well I just finished reading the 1st article. If that article is true and that is what the Hebrews movement is, it does not apply to me so, you anti- torah people can quit falsely labeling me as that.

Wow the 2nd article does describe some of my beliefs pretty good though I do not agree with everything. Lets see. I never heard of this movement, I mainly have studied the Bible for many years though and others who have done the same have come up with similar conclusions as I. Go figure.

I am Messianic. I am very proud of that title. It means I follow the Messiah. I came up with that term on my own, not from a web site or a movement.

Just because they believe similar does not make me a Hebrew roots movement member.

I believe similar to Baptist but I am not Baptist.

I am a believer in the Holy Bible, Old Testament and New.

I have no interest in reading any more articles about the Hebrews root movement. I was labeled as that falsely.

Exodus 20:16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Well the Hebrew Roots Movement isn’t a religion so reporting it here won’t really do any good.

This thread doesn’t violate any of the board’s rules.

Just sayin…..

Well there's the problem, VW!

That is a command out of the Torah! And since they don't dare follow it...

....it doesn't apply!

Who says I am upset. I am just setting this topic straight,

BTW as usual you come into threads with nothing meaningful to contribute to the topics and all you do is ask stupid questions.

As usual it didn't take long for you to show up in this thread doing the same ole thing.

well if the topic doesn’t apply then who are you setting straight?

I think your a bit defensive about something you claim to have no part of...

That’s very interesting.
