I can only hope Ron wins this time around, I know I'll be voting for him if he runs. I don't know how even the stupidest people can complain about rising prices and then say they are against the type of sound money system Ron Paul wants our country to adopt.

Well.....this seals Obama's imminent 2nd term win. Not that I agree....but RP will split the votes for the Repub/Indie/Tea Party side and Oblammo will slide in again.
Just great. |

Heh, republicans say "forget this he's conservative, I'm gonna vote for Obama." Mkay. Is it the independents? Ron Paul has a consistent solid position with independents that don't vote straight ticket. Even many liberally leaning independents will vote toward him. I would say, the claim that the regularly consistent Gop voters, would suddenly turn tail and vote for Obama again if Paul was the alternation, I would say that claim is crazy. I would also say that the idea he has no independent voter support is also crazy. He's practically survived politically off independent votes pushing him to the win. He's popular with young demographics and with old ones. There's also the excitability factor of him. Obama had it last election and got fresh meat drawn in the game. People who like Paul are just as fired as Barack's crowd ever were. Do you think he can't run a campaign that would nab enough swing votes in the middle, after 12 years of Bush and Obama or no republicans would endorse him? Why? I'm not trying to sell him to you, not my intention. But, I keep hearing this "unelectable" claim but, no one cares to explain it beyond the statement itself. |

Don't be so sure about that. Barry was a relative unknown when he began his race. Ron Paul is better known and has substance. With the proper kind of campaign and grassroots involvement like I posted above, Ron Paul could win this thing.

I do like his financial domestic views very much. But his foreign policy or lack there of will render the domestic policy neutralized. Our economy is contrived of the world's resources. No, I do not mean our outsourced jobs. Our Military presence over the world has done very much bolster our economy through supporting important regions strategic to us. IMO.

Don't flame me guys. I LIKE Ron Paul. I just think between the media tanking him and his views, while conservative......aren't all Republican. He's too Dem for the Repubs and too Repub for the Dems. Republicans aren't going to like his view on the drug laws......Democrats are going to hate him for his stance on welfare reform.
Lets face it....I'd like to see him make it. I just think he's got too much common sense to be elected, thats all. He speaks what MOST don't want to hear. And don't forget....he's got a face only a mother could love. Which, we all know.....looks are a factor in deciding a president too. He's got energy. He just has no polish. Make sense? He comes off as a know it all Keebler Elf. |
