Question Jim Bakker a prepper?

Advertise Here

I was channel surfing and came across Jim Bakker on TLN network talking about shtf scenarios like the New Madrid fault and the possibility of a nuclear disaster in America's Heartland where many nuke reactors are centrally located, including northern Illinois. They're marketing 20-year shelf life food, solar chargers, potassium iodide and wind-up flashlights for $250 contributions.

I went online and looked around their site: http://www.jimbakkershow.com/Publish...?ID=1000102652

Seems like a lot of cash for what you get▬especially the chintzy 'as seen on TV' chinese $4.99 survival knife.. Although it might be a good idea for the unprepared masses, IMO.. They're really hyping the potassium iodide pills

My question is if this is legit or just another PTL fraudulent, money-generating scam

I don't think he's with PTL any more so he's probably really short on cash.

Televagelists are SCUM.

I won't buy anything from them or support them in any way shape or form.

I checked out some other "love gifts" on his site.......$30 for a small bottle of Vit D!?!?

I could get a huge bottle for $5 on the net.

Televagelists = ripoff merchants.

He's still around?

Not surprising he's hawking something or another.

I wonder how many "Love Gifts" JB has sold.. Must be quite a lot to buy a full hour time slot, production crew, B and C-list celebrity guests and hourly phone operators.

I have to admit, he's quite a compelling, alluring personality.
He'd probably be better suited to infomercial selling the ShamWoW with Vince:

I just remember how much makeup Tammy Faye used to wear. My goodness, she must have bought the mascara and false eye lashes by the case.

Bakker has run scam after scam. Why would this be any different? I doubt he suddenly had a change of heart and started carrying about people's welfare and started doing this as a service to them.

The only thing Jim Bakker ever did that was probably worthwhile was bang Jessica Hahn...other than that he's just a conman like the majority of the televangelists.

These televangelist turn my stomach. They make a mockery of the Gospel. Matt 18:7 :"Woe unto the world because of the things that cause people to stumble!Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!" TP
