How to make a sling bow with modifications to a regular sling shot.

Sling Bow

Jash gave me a heads up on the benefits of the "sling bow", after I lamented about my pathetic skill with the sling shot. As I have never heard of it, so I looked it up and found this video on You Tube.



What a great idea! This is definitely going to be one of my next projects

Will need:
1 - sling shot
1 - whisker biscuit (Around $20 from Walmart)

2 - cable ties

2 - arrows (around $6 each)

2 - Points
A) Target point

B) Bunny Buster

2 - golf tees

I tried this few months ago but using just metal ring. After ~30 shots i could pierce plastic bottle at the distance of 50'. Of course, whisker biscuit is much better choice in order to be accurate and save arrow feathers.

Do you have pans for the modifications using the metal ring?

this is a pretty great idea. i saw a couple of jeorge's videos in the crossbows/slingshots forum but always figured putting a whisker biscuit onto a slingshot would be too difficult and would require knowledge of metal working.

Any archery shop should have a whisker biscuit. Also any sporting goods store with archery equipment will have them. Don't use arrows with actual feather fletching(vanes), it will tear them up. Use plastic fletchings, they will last waaay longer.

A good source for cheap arrows is a local archery club....any club that holds 3D shoots will
have an over abundance of arrows that were lost and picked up at a later date, they'll normally have a box full in the club house somewhere. An arrow for my bow costs me $10, arrows from a club can be picked up for free or maybe a couple of $'s each.....with the sling bow you don't have to worry about spine strength or anything like that so you could just pick what you like.
