Default Slide Fire AR-15 stock (bump fire system)

Advertise Here

I am looking at the Slide Fire AR-15 stock. It is basically a bump fire system made into the stock design. Does anybody own one of these and is it worth the $369.00 for the stock?

My concern is that you really can't aim or control the rifle once the bump fire is in progress. Another concern I have is that when you want to shoot full auto, it will take a couple of rounds to start and get the trigger effect going before bump fire takes place.

Any thoughts?

i think its cool..but 370$ cool?...maybe 5 years ago when ammo was affordable but these are different times..i bought a 4 cylinder toyota because gas keeps going up in price..if they make one for my ruger 10/22 at a reasonable price i may consider but i bet you can come up with a more practical way to spend your hard earned cash...thats just me but i do think its awfully pricey
best of luck in your decision

they did make one for the 10/22, but the ATF later ruled it became a illegal machine gun and banned them. Last I heard even posession of one was a felony, weather it was on the rifle or not. So John, buyer beware the same will probally happen to the stock you are looking at.

It is if you consider your only other option, which is $14,000.00+ for a fully transferable, full auto M-4. Bill T.

For .10 cents, you can use a big rubber band and get the same effect. Its called "the rubber band trick". Goggle it for more info.

Got one, it works. I needed a little practice to get the feel of it but it does work as advertized.

If affording ammo is of concern, buy a case of ammo instead of this stock and stick with semi auto. If affording ammo is not a concern, buy the stock and a few cases of ammo and go have a blast.

The Atchinson accelerator had moving parts that caused the ATF to rule the way they did. This does not.

Give us po folk a way inexpensively prep to have a Squad "Automatic" Weapon for defensive positions.

If I had endless cash. I'd buy a couple and get to work on some builds. 20" heavy barrel, fluted, Battlecomp, Trijicon ACOG 1.5x for defensive positions against raiders.

It looks like a huge waste of money. A moderate shooter can do .20 second splits, a good one can get close to .10 second splits.

To bump fire all you have to do is pull the gun forward with your left hand while riding the trigger near it's reset point. The recoil of the gun will do the work for you. I rarely bump fire a gun, but with a 12ga Saiga with a 20 round drum it's a blast.

So far it looks like only one person actually has one out of all the people that have posted.

There is a big difference between bump firing with your finger through your belt loop and shooting with a shoulder fired stock with control ability and aiming.

As for cost. Yes ammo is expensive, but what isn't. If i was worried about that I would just buy 22lr.

I'm talking about holding a gun in a typical firing position.

i am a dealer for these stocks and i can say they are 100% legit.. both in function and in fire control.. you can single shot, 2-3 round burst or full tilt boogie.. big downside is your ammo bill like the others have suggested.. but with a Beta 100 rnd drum they are a ton of fun.. especially when shooting into a group of hogs at your feeder!!

as to the ATF they have had no less than 12 ATF agents check out the product and as of right now they are 100% legal.. until someone screws around with them and they get around to banning them.. even then everytime in the history of gun control everything has been grandfathered.. SO keep your receipt and you should be good.. BUT use common fricken sense when out shooting.. your local range won't allow you to use them but again in a TEOTWAWKI situation they are a very easy mod for any AR 15 platform.. now looking at the $$ side.. 300+ is cheap when you want to stay legal.. but for 250.00 you can buy all the parts including the jig for the sear pin and convert any pre ban lower if the need should arise.. just my .02

Grew out of this sort of thing 20 years ago, I'll put the $370.00 into gas for the genny or ammo.
