Default Good Price on Canned Salmon

Advertise Here

FYI:

CVS has Bumble Bee Pink Salmon cans 14.75 oz on sale for $2/3. No limits and the stores seem to be heavily stocked. They also will provide rainchecks if they are sold out.

Price normally is around $2.99 per can.

Best part is they are dated 2/2016!

Is it boneless? I hate that canned stuff with all the crushed bones.

I'd like to know that too about Bumble Bee? I put back Honey Boy salmon. It sometimes has bones in it....but like sardines...they very soft and harmless.

I am 99% sure all PINK salmon is boneless. The RED salmon is the one with skin and bones. Which I love but I am not paying $5 a can!

Red is sock-eye salmon. Good stuff for sure. Cost a lot more. The Honey Boy I have is not boneless. But they do make a boneless...it's on their site. They don't have it at my store. I'm gonna try the Bumble Bee and see.

I think you are right! I just double checked and only the smaller cans come up boneless. I am pretty happy as I like bones (insert innuendo here).

yeah these ones have bones but they are so pressure cooked that they fall apart. i pull the spine bone out and leave all the rest. the spine bone usualy comes out in 2 or 3 segments and not hard to miss.

Remember folks, the bones in canned salmon are cooked soft and easily digestible. They are a great source of calcium, which might otherwise be lacking in a sparse survival diet short on diary products. Personally, I like them. They're part of the attraction.

Mike I agree. I usually make fried salmon patties and crush up the bones and you never know they are there.....good calcium for sure!
