Default Government buying up emergency food supplies

Advertise Here

I spoke today to the folks at internet-grocer.com. I was ordering some cheese and wanted to order the canned butter but they were out. I was told by the sales person that the government had bought their entire shipment when it came in, leaving them with nothing. She said when the government wants it, there was not much they could do.

She said they just did the same thing to Mountain House. Bought almost the entire inventory. If you go to the Mountain House website, it's a pretty empty store right now. Almost everything is unavailable. She said the government has always regularly purchased from Mountain House for the military but this was outside of their usual arrangement.

So here's the kicker. If they are buying up the emergency food supplies, who are they buying them for? They are not stocking shelters for the public. Are they stocking shelters for the government only?

Relatively speaking, I'm not one of the more alarmist types on this board. But this information, to me, speaks volumes.

Let's step it up and get our houses in order, folks.

Maybe they know something we dont?

I expect to see a jump in the price of food in the next couple of months. Maybe the gooberment is trying to get stocked up before the prices up? Maybe shortages are on the way and we do not know it yet?

It could be a lot of things.

Well, the congress did have a secret meeting three weeks ago, some suspect they were planning the security of the congressmen and woman, when the economy crashes. But thats just a theory, this helps back up that theory IMO.

I remember the government bought all stockpiles of certain antibiotics when they were worried about SARS.

They put a premium of continuation of government and don't really care about anything else.

This probably explains why I've been having a hard time getting Mountain House supplies. A lot of my long term food stores consist of #10 cans from Mountain House which I buy from an online store. When I first started buying supplies, it seems like they were being sent the next day. However, recently everything I order gets backordered about 2-3 weeks. The other supplies (water, shelter related, etc) never have a problem.

Even Waltons is out of stock in some of the bulk (50 lb bag) foods and a month or more back ordered. I see no way this is getting better possibly for years. Order now, expect back orders and lock in your price now!

You remember a few years ago when the Feds where digging like madden badgers putting in a whole new series of new shelters around DC up in West Virginia and other locations around the country. I think they are ready now and they are stocking up. What ever they are preparing for they saw it coming for a while now.

Also, from time to time the gooberment shelters will sell their current aging stocks of foods to replace them with newer ones. I have seen several people on Ebay selling shipments of gooberment food supplies that were sold to them for resale by the gob't.

Also, alot of the survival food brokers have been running out as a result of all of the sheeple waking up finally and beginning to prepare.
