Make big rocks into little rocks.

Line your driveway with them, garden beds, stack em up for raised garden beds.

Or you could truck em on over to me, I will use them up

I live in a 100+ year old building built of rocks and concrete. Looks like it was a LOT of work to make, but also looks like someone used up a LOT of rocks.
Good thermal mass, once the temp is good, it's not hard to keep it there, takes about 3 days to stabilize the temperature though, so if the walls get hot in the summer, it's a sauna for a week or so, and takes a lot to cool it back down. I only have a swamp cooler, and that won't bring it down alone. There have been a few summers I have lost control of it, and there was nothing I could do about it but sweat.

Goat playground. Goats love having things to hop around on, and a few big rocks would be perfect. Rocks won't wear out, and will have the added bonus of reducing the need for hoof trimming.

Just don't make a calendar out of it. I don't care how big it is. You will run out of room and really scare the crapy out of people some day.

If you hunt, and these rocks can be found above ground, why not use them in building a blind? You could use them as the base then place some branches and whatnot around it and voila.

12-14" is a good size for lots of things. I dont have anything new to add, but a rock wall/foundation or oven or fire pit are good ideas. Im saving rocks from tilling to just make a fire pit.. i havent found any as big though.

+1 for selling them as petrified t-rex eggs! <-- thats all i really wanted to say in this post :D

I hauled a big one up to the house and made a weather rock out of it for use when SHTF.

A couple of the other guys already mentioned it, but in the physical security world when you want to deny someone the ability to cross certain terrain in a vehicle you create what's called a "RipRap Field". Its essentially a field covered by sharp jagged rocks the size of those you describe, where anyone trying to drive a vehicle across it would break an axle.

This is a type of defensive measure for urban and suburban properties... (hint)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riprap

If you don't want to use them as such, sell them - I'm sure there are others out there who would buy them from you. Put them up on Craigslist. Alternately the city where you live might come and haul them away for free - they use them in various bridge abutments and other infrastructure projects.

We're clearing up our lot and removing buried rocks for a multitude of reasons...for ease of mowing, better land to plant food, etc.

These rocks are anywhere from ~12" wide to 14" length, all the way to heavy ones at 24" wide to 20" length. We've pretty much used what we could for a fire ring border, fire pit, bottom the fence bordering, and chicken coop borders. We still have a ton.

What are some uses for these rocks, if any? We don't want to put them anywhere near the house as we're looking to remove hideouts for snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, etc. ...don't want them getting in to the house.

The rock is whatever they make caliche out of if that helps at all. Granite? It's pretty darn heavy and dense. Typical Texas Hill Country stone.

Thanks!
I'm sorry, I didnt waste my time on the whole thread.

Did you just ask what to do with rocks?

Like Rocks? the things that we find when digging?

Seriously I am not laughing that much yet.

Rocks? Thats like asking what would you do with earth that has solidified into a giant really hard unusable substance? Should I just move them out of the way or should I recycle?

I'm just ****in with ya walker, I mean no harm, and it was typed in the funniest voice I could imagine

Artistically arranged at the entrance to your property, then make some stone pillars at the gate.
Or... Drop them off in my ex-wife's driveway...

Build a huge azz catapult and ask other people to bring their catapults and have a contest to see who can make a rock fly!! Then charge people to watch this event, sell t-shirts, sell "flying rock donuts" pop corn, video it and make a u-tube stint. Then sell plans to people to build their own DIY "protector" model. Use the money to further you prepping supplies!!
If you only do this once your rocks will be gone, however if next year you put a target in the field behind the house you only need to move the target each year to keep residual income coming in each year!!
OK, I'm being silly, or maybe I'm not, hello people bought "pet rocks" in the 70's, cabbage patch dolls, in the 80's, rap music in the 90's, and recently elected captain Zero.
Flying rocks are much more entertaining than any of that crap....
My friend your ship has come in, be sure to use good knots to tie it to the pier!!!!

Large rocks can be very effective weatherometers. Place one about 15 feet from your bugout entrance. Then when you need to check what it's like outside, simply check your weatherometer stone. If it's wet, it's raining. Hot, it's sunny. Snowy, it's cold out. Few people have weatherometers these days, but the technology is seldom wrong and it goes WAAAAY back. Your grandpa's great grandpappy had one.
