It's a pretty good article. I like the one that often gets overlooked: shelter requirements. Most think of needing overhead protection, but what's more important is insulation from the ground. This is one of the reasons I consider a small tarp/poncho as essential as you can quickly get that overhead protection without wasting time or calories and then focus your efforts on building up a insulated bed.
The rest is pretty basic. They discussed primitive fire means, but in reality, just pack a few ounces of firesteel, Bic and tinder.
