Default Might be making the move out to Idaho!

I was born and raised in southern Michigan but it looks like I may have the chance to move to Idaho. I applied for a job with a company based out of Fruitland and just had a phone interview that went well. Now they want me to come out for a face to face interview as well as to show me around and meet the team I would be working with. That all seems promising to me! I'm pretty excited about the thought of moving out there

Is there anyone from around that area has any advice on places to live, things to do, etc? Idaho seems like a pretty awesome state with a lot to offer for anyone who likes the outdoors!

We lived/worked in Blackfoot for a year and a half. It was great being only 2 hours from Yellowstone!

Hope it works out for you.

I had to Google where Fruitland was..

To Bad its the West instead of East... I'ld show ya around till you got your legs under ya.

Either way, welcome to Idaho.

I have an uncle that lives out there, they really like it. My aunt likes it so much, that she decided to move out there too. I've never been there, but haven't heard of anyone not liking it.

I'm from Phoenix and SoCal. I moved up here 7 yrs ago after my divorce. I was done with 3 car payments, a mortgage, and sitting in grid locked traffic!! Pretty much rural where Im at. I make a very good living in the dairy industry, and I earn every penny of it. Not much to do around except work. I don't drink, smoke, or really care about chasing ladies around town.. LOL, so its a pretty boring life here. Lotta guys here are into the rodeo and cowboy life. Summer time here centers around the snake river and parades. City Of Rocks is another hot spot for avid rock climbers. If you are near Pocatello, drop me a PM. I will show you around town. This is by far a better place to raise a family. Schools without barbed wire fences and drug sniffing dogs!!

I must admit something... It's weird being in a town where folks seen to know your business. When I lived in PHX and SoCal, I never even met my neighbors. They were to busy looking down their noses at me and waxing their fake exotic cars. Folks in this part country seem to honesty care and want to get acquainted, but at the same time If you wanna be left alone they will respect that.

BTW... The Hot Springs near the Wyoming line are a must do. 90* natural hot springs in January? Heaven on earth!!
