How come my laptop battery dies out a lot and take forever to charge up?
I just bought new battery and it's my 3rd time buying my ac adapter. my ac adapter always get extremly hot and when my laptop battery is going low it take about 2 hours to charge it back up to 100%. Usually it takes less thant 40 minute to charge it back to full charge. Anyone knows what's wonrg. Sometimes my air vent on the bottom of my laptop get hot too even though I do not cover it up too. ![]() help me!!! _____________________________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() HP Laptop Battery Dell Laptop Battery Acer Laptop Battery |

They now call them notebooks rather than laptops for a good engineering reason. Seems the computer would overheat if always operating on ones lap. Poor air circulation.
You charger may not be compatable with the battery. The charger should only get warm and not hot. New notebooks send a signal to the charger. If the charger doesn't Recognize the encoded signal, you may (may) have a condition where for some reason the voltage and amperage profile is not exactly correct for the battery. Or..it is a brilliant engineering and marketing solution to make people purchase and employ the factory charger only and nobodys aftermarket version. Yep. The solution is to let your notebook breathe. Set it on a rack that lets air circulate under. Use only the factory authorized charger. Run the battery down 100% before recharging. The battery does NOT like being run down slightly, then either sitting for a long time or being slightly discharged, then being completely recharged. They need to exercise. Hope this helps. It could be a lot of things. Some of which have not been mentioned.
One of my laptops had batteries die quickly because the mother board had problems. Another one of my laptops had batteries die because the basic software was messed up. |

You may have too many operating systems running at the same time.

It was a spam post, not a legitimate question......

![]() This problem persist in many laptops..battery backup is very bad in laptops..But mine works for more than 3hours....Just delete all the unwanted files and see if it works ![]() |
