Chat rule addenda

Because of the differing nature between chat and forums, we've worked together to come up with some things to help everyone enjoy the chat function more.

1- Please ask others before using the Private Message function.

2-Do not be a “griefer”. A griefer is defined in this case as repeatedly doing something for the purpose of annoying others. This can include, but is not limited to, arguing, posting links repeatedly, and repeated text color changes or usage of that flashing sun emoticon.

3- Because of the nature of chat and the inability to edit posts like in a forum, please refrain from all cussing in the main room. If you would like to cuss and troll, The Tavern has the same rules as The Darkside regarding language and trolling. Please remember that minors and others who do not want to be subjected to adult topics or language are often in the chat.

4- Even if not covered in these chat rules and the rules of the site, when a moderator asks that you not continue a behavior, please do so.

Chat Rules – added
When any mod is in the room the topics and language will be “clean” the chat room is NOT part of the Dark Side no-matter how hard you want it to be. ANY age member can join the chat room so the “youth” can’t get in the Dark Side for a reason, and the chat room will be kept at a clean level for this reason. We know that a mod is not in there 24/7 to make sure all these rules are followed but remember all mods CAN go back and get chat log files and see what has been going on while they are not in the room.

1st offence - User will be gagged for “X” amount of time
2nd offence – User gagged for longer amount of time
3rd offence – User will be kick out and banned from chat for “x” amount to time/days

If room talk gets to be “Dark Side-ish” there will be a room warning. From that point the above offence order will be followed.
