Just bought one from HEB, in Burnet Texas. Considering the scarcity, it was cheap. I picked a small one around six pounds(small), for eight bucks. Going to let it ripen a bit before eating.

Will report live.

Jackfruit is pretty common here. Dangerous to walk under the tree on a windy day.

I've eaten it once. It was flavored like a pulled bbq pork sandwich. I highly recommended it that way. Not sure how it would be with other flavors/spices, but I hear it readily takes on the tastes of what you give it.
