Someone needs to open little ebay/craigslist stores where people can meet in safety with a salesperson to actually handle the sale or something.

Learned years ago that Pennzoil was 'recycled''s OK for light duty...but if you are serious about protecting your engine(s)...use a good synthetic (engineered) motor oil...the price might be a bit high...but it will save you money down the road (more miles in between oil changes, longer lasting engine parts, less mechanical problems in the long run.....BTW...Change oil filter when changing oil...makes good sense

The one time when you might do it:

About a month back one of my wife's friends was visiting, and mentioned that the oil light had come on. I said let's take a look. It was down to nothing!

She asked what she should put in, and I said "Any oil is better than none."

In the end, I convinced her to go to the nearest oil change shop -- about one mile -- and do a refresh.
