I still have my IDI 94 with the 7.3. The "International Harvester" name was not used. IH nearly went broke in the 80s and the truck division became "Navigating the Stars" that was then shortened to "Navistar International."
Been a great truck but the 7.3 IDI turbo does not have the low-end pulling power of my 1992 Dodge Cummins. The Ford is a much better riding, and better built truck. 7.3 turbo, 4WD, extended cab, 8' bed, 4.10 axles, and E40D trans. And yes there is a small computer for the trans. It would take one heck of an EMP to knock it out. If there was one that strong - I suspect I'd have other thing to worry about.
