It is one of many supplements out there. As with them there is no evidence of it preventing, reversing or curing any disease. But as with anything an ounce of prevention can't hurt.
It's a poison. Been known to kill harmless vampires and werewolves. In fact I know of not one that survived after treatment with silver. Much better to use mercury for all your anti bacterial needs. Mercury has a long history of use in preventing and curing syphilis, silver does not. Mercury can also increase longevity and allow you to walk on water. Silver has none of those benefits!
The only ones promoting silver usage today are in the pay of the government and Big Natural Health care industry.
"Colloidal silver isn't considered safe or effective for any of the health claims manufacturers make."
" In fact, the Food and Drug Administration has taken action against some manufacturers of colloidal silver products for making unproven health claims.
It's not clear how much colloidal silver may be harmful, but it can build up in your body's tissues over months or years. Most commonly, this results in argyria (ahr-JIR-e-uh), a blue-gray discoloration of your skin, eyes, internal organs, nails and gums. While argyria doesn't pose a serious health problem, it can be a cosmetic concern because it doesn't go away when you stop taking silver products.
Rarely, excessive doses of colloidal silver can cause possibly irreversible serious health problems, including kidney damage and neurological problems such as seizures. Colloidal silver products may also interact with medications, including penicillamine, quinolone, tetracycline and thyroxine medications."
Its the most effective deodorant ever. And you can ignore the claims out there that people who used the brands that have it in it were found to have massive silver accumulation in their glands when they died and had autopsies: It's only been put in deodorant for a 4 years at most and people were claiming that soon as it came out, even though their supposed relatives never could have bought a deodorant with silver in it before they died.
I first heard about colloidal silver 20 years ago from my grandmother who was a big fan. I've heard about it off and on ever since. There seems to be some evidence of it being effective externally as an antiseptic, but only anecdotal evidence for internal use. I think its probably safe to use though (I don't buy the "gray skin" thing) because there is just too many people using it internally that we would know if there were any problems.
However, if it was as effective as some people make it out to be, I think a drug company would be marketing it as a prescription drug and making a ton of money off the insurance companies. After all that is what they did with fish oil. Really cheap if bought over-the-counter, but costs hundreds of dollars for the prescription Lovaza which isn't any better than many of the over-the-counter fish oils.
I can't imagine consuming any mineral or metal in large doses could be good for you. Our bodies have a delicate balance. Consuming silver without science to back up your claims is just stupid.
there's no research cuz there's no money in it. how anyone can make a clearly defined claim about its benefits or dangers is absurd... cuz there's no research.
I consistently hear a lot of good anecdotal claims and only the skin discoloration negative claim.
the only anecdotal I can share is that my sinus infection this winter is not nearly as bad since I've used one drop of 500 ppm per nostril per day. also, my two year had pink eye yesterday and a drop every six hours and now her eye is fine.
I too am interested in knowing about colloidal silver. I see claims that it can cure everything but baldness and reports that it's the firsts thing to have in your BOB. I have found some near hear at GNC in two different PPM's One comes in a 10ppm and the other brand is 30ppm. I was wondering which is better. Both say to take 1 tsp per day but would the 10ppm be better? I don't want to look like a smurf. Or would it be better to get the 30ppm and cut it with ionized water to get 3 times the cs for the same money? I also found some Silver cream at Meijers and it even says on the label that it will help kill the Mrsa strain.
Should CS be taken every day or only when need arises ? On the FDA shutting down some manufactures IMO they don't want the public finding somthing that they (the govt) cant regulate and because of the lobbying from the giant drug company's. If you have used or studied colloidal silver please help out those of us just learning about this stuff.
Ok first off read, read and read some more. There is a book that I purchased from Amazon.com "Colloidal Silver, Medical Uses Toxicology & Manufacture By John Hill" an interesting read . Colloidal silver is part of my preps as is antibiotics. I did purchase the Starter kit, but you can do it cheaper than the price of the kit and the meters ( DMM & TDS) just make sure that the silver is 99.99% pure that you use, and I am making some as we speak.
