One benefit of the ammo shortage is that record numbers of firearms enthusiasts are getting into reloading. The government's desire to diminish ammo and weapon availability has caused more of us to become self sufficient to a greater degree than if they would've left us alone.
On another note, I was wondering if all the firearms we ship to foreign nations include 10 round mags. If the American people must be limited, it should also be the case for those that benefit from our generosity. Maybe it should be put into law. The Muslim Brotherhood can only receive mags that take 10 rounds or less. If it's good for the goose, it should be good for the gander, too.
