I too love to yak fish and do it as much as I can. I fish out of a Hobie Pro Angler since I am a big boy. My wife yaks as well and uses a Tarpon 120 and does great in it...she loves to paddle and I am lazy and like to pedal.

Mostly catch Reds, Specks and Flounder with Reds being my favorite. I also go fish a big yak tourney in Grand Isle each year called "Ride The Bull" when the bull reds come into the pass to feed. A real sight to see 250+ yaks fishing in such a small area.

[QUOTE=IronAddict;5073453]I used one of my friends this year and loved it so much I bought my own. A Wilderness Systems ride 135. In fact I sold my bass boat because this is so much easier and more enjoyable to use. I can get into places I never could on my boat. No longer making payments or insurance. Its great exercise. And I swear the stealth of it catches me more fish then I ever did on my top of the line bass boat.

My wife and I are going to get our kayaks soon. I like the fishing aspect and my wife wants it for the exercise. either way, we should enjoy them.

A friend just gave me a Ocean Kayak Yahoo. Gonna try fishing with it as soon as things thaw out up here. Unless the girlfriend is paddling my canoe for me, my favorite fishing vessel so far is my Bucks Bags http://www.bucksbags.com/cm_item.asp?id=169
You never need your hands if you put on flippers. Takes awhile to get across or around the small lakes but you can spin around and catch the fish that just surfaced behind you in a split second.
We'll see how the kayak does...I am looking forward to it.
