Manufactured in the US by a veteran-owned company, the Spool Tool is a great way to store and manage your paracord. Spool Tools hold up to 100' of 550 or 750 paracord, have a built-in cutter, and a clip that holds a Bic mini lighter (not included). 5col Survival Supply has them on sale for $17.99/ea!
Technically cord sells separately, but we are including a 10' length of our Type III PIA-C-5040 parachute cord with every order. This is intended as a sample, though. Thanks for your question!
I have an old stick iv been using for years with a y at one end and a split at the other to tuck the loose end into. i use the y end like a cleat, thow a twist or two back and forth like you would over a boat cleat and you can really yard on what you are lashing. But my stick dose not have a cuter thow.
I will stick with my cardboard, spare plastic piece and PVC pipe holders. This ranks up there with the specialized camera system for firing range video. Although this is cheaper and probably more useful.
Make that plastic a slingshot, survival card, or something dual use and it may be worth the cost.
Now this is the tool / gadget I was looking for. Currently my 45 ft of lightweight 1/8th cord is on its factory flat spool that although is more stealthy to pack then the round spools its unnecessarily wide.
I am going find this item and pick one up. Its perfect for someone like me who would use the cord to string the tarp every night.
