I would like to purchase some 550 paracord and was wondering if anyone has ever ordered 550 paracord from paracord.com? If so, is it good quality? Or are there some other good quality paracord companies to buy from?
Making decorative stuff? Looks like the right site.
I've been very happy with Type III commercial cord by Rothco. Not actual mil-spec, but USA made, 7 strand that has held up super well. My actual milspec 550 stays in storage.
Supply Captain is the best hands down. When they don't have a color I need I head to Ebay and buy from 5staredc.
Even if it's just decorative please never ever go for the cheap crap cord. It's not worth it when competition is stiff. Yes, even in Ohio. I just went to gun show in the Eastwood Expo center this weekend and there was 3 people selling bracelets. Honestly, I make and sell several accessories myself so I normally don't hand out advice about my sources, especially to locals but I'll make an exception
Thanks guys. I'm not interested in using paracord for decorative purposes. I just want some quality 550 paracord for outdoor purposes and that I can keep in my BOB. Supply Captain looks like they have some good paracord, I will check them out.
Supply Captain does not have the best price on 1000ft rolls if that's what you're looking for. I believe CampingSurvival.com has the lowest price on 1000ft rolls right now.
Some people love Para-cord, usually the ex-military. some swear by "Bank Line" which is tared cordage, I believe that each has a place and I carry a roll of each.
5dollarparacord has many colors offerred for $5.50/100ft. Although they were out of a few of the colors I was looking for.
What would make one site's commercial grade US made 550 cord better than another site's US made commercial grade 550 cord?
