The site I linked showed all of it. Feel free to read.

Like a coin is going to do anything. Pull the plug and bring everybody home. Have we even been paid back any interest on what we have loaned to other countries?

I'm quite aware of who owns the debt ... which is why I wonder why folks worry about China who owns 1/16 which is a pittance.

No worries about China or Russia or Japan - mint the coins, toss them on the floor of the UN as it is being towed out to sea.

I hope they make a lot of them and hand them out instead of EBT cards, welfare, unemployment checks etc. The govt says this stuff helps the economy so trillion dollar coins in everyones pockets should make us a prosperous country again, right? Debt gone and everyone wealthy beyond their dreams, what a deal.

They can add a bit of base metal to the platinum to extend coin life & keep the coin machines busy. I'm sure the regime has even more absurd and creative measures in mind. Budgets and spending restrictions aren't part of the change promised.

To be worth its denomination, made of platinum, it would need to be the size of a 747.

It's a gimmick. A ploy, to let the Republicans know there are ways around them if they refuse to rise the debt ceiling and pay their bills. It's like talking about the 14th Amendment: An option that MIGHT work, but the consequences would be severe...

RE Dok: I hope he keeps posting. Intelligent contratians who shake up people are good to have.

Federal Reserve notes are backed by nothing but the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, and yet people are willing to accept them as money...

WSJ reports that the Treasury won't mint the coins. Wow, someone came up with some common sense.

I had to explain to an 19 year old black co-worker, after he explained to me that Obama had "fixed" the "money we owe to people-problem" by making a trillion $$ coin-in silver and his image, and that would make sue no taxes were therefore needed.

I walked away...

Our hope for a recovery and a strong America is lost.

We've raised two generations now that can't tie their own shoelaces, and cannot make change without a tele-prompter.

I hate to say it, but the average American is dumber than a box of rocks.

I agree with you on the abilities of the younger generations to do much of true worth, in many cases they can't even prepare hearty meals because they have always eaten out or fast food.

I am blessed my son has developed the use of common sense and uses it. Even in his mid twenties he has much to learn yet.

I started him on silver this Christmas and his birthday next month will see more silver to keep his interest. He had a solid interest in firearms and ammo and hunting as well.

Yes he handles money well and makes change just fine.

I thought that this was just silliness until I read that Obama posed for the photo on the trillion dollar coin and he posed all week long for it. Now I'm really worried.
