Default CB Radio

Sure not many use them anymore, let alone in one's own vehicle.

But I do, it helps me triangulate whats going on around where I live.

However my Midland 77-106 CB quit working, now when I turn it on, all I get is a "buzz" anyone with any exsperiance able to help with this?

Check the cable.
Unscrew the cord (antenna cord) from the back and turn it on. (don't transmit, that's probably not good for it, this is debatable, but just don't find out)
Does it still make that noise with the cable unplugged?
If it DOES, the problem is in the unit, if it doesn't, and only does it with the cable plugged in, there is most likely a break or short in the cable or antenna.

If you haven't done anything illegal with it go to your local Ham group. They may seem like the worst people to go to, but regardless they usually can figure out your issue in two seconds. Most times regardless of your choice they will help you out.

Any big truck stop will have a cb doctor. They are usually cheap to fix. If it doesn't work well, stop transmitting. You might hurt it more.

LOL you think that's bad. They have a forum for flashlights!

BTW, if you installed a new antenna, you really need to check the SWR. I doubt you have a SWR meter, so you might want to drop by a radio shop. That has to be adjusted right for the new antenna to work properly. Most shops can do it in a couple minutes and only charge a few dollars.
