how long is the self life if unopened bottles of ketchup, mustard,mayonnaise have? what about stuff like soyesause,hotsause,BBQ,salad dressing,steaksause?
It would make sense for the food canners to grossly underestimate the shelf life of their products. They probably err on the side of caution to prevent lawsuits. There has been a recorded case of canned meat being OK after a century. It was on a link attached to a thread in this forum.
