Maybe. But "bend over and kiss it goodbye" ain't an option I usually subscribe to. If there's particular challenges, I'll deal with them. Maybe earthquake-proof??

And if it STILL means I get blown to smithereens, then that's that.

Another option is to relocate to a survivable area.

If you need to make it earthquake-proof because you're close enough to be hit with groundshock or stray warheads you're getting beyond the realm of DIY shelter-building in my opinion.

GG42 does have a point on the fallout production. If the area gets heavily blanketed with fallout due to multiple ground bursts... you could be stuck sheltering far longer than the usual one-month upper limit for most areas.

PM me the target you're near and I might be able to do some projections and give you some additional info back via PM.

Yeah, we're definitely NOT doing anything "DIY". At least not with the "guts" of the unit. The structure itself would have to be done to some degree of "professional specs". I know this can skyrocket the cost. (Have another thread going where we're discussing this topic...)

Also, we have our own business that precludes us from moving...

But thanks in advance to the target info. We got a little off-topic but it's something that I've been chewing on for a bit.
