Ok I weighed in at 270 this morning and hope tomorrow morning is better.

No longer constipated.

Been using muscles I forgot I had, LOL.

Had to add a few holes in my belt.

Skin getting loose around waste.

I still must be gaining muscle because I just can't get past 269.

But I will keep keeping on.

Clothes continue to loosen on me as well. When I started this, I had gotten to the point where I nearly couldn't button my 40" waist jeans. Now, my 38" waist jeans (which have been in the closet, unworn for the past 3 years), are super baggy through my thighs and butt.

I still have the loss issue I described earlier..... I am loosing fat layers faster in some places than others. My waist seems to be the last that is responding.

We did our "cheat meal" last night.

Yeah, we have decided that we are going to only do a cheat meal once a week, rather than a whole cheat day. We drove in to our favorite Asian Bistro and feasted on Sushi Rolls. We did pay $1 extra per roll for brown rice, instead of white rice. I probably ate 400-500 calories more than I should have and enjoyed an extra glass of wine.....but still woke up in the 249's....rather than gaining 4lbs like I did last week.

Back to the grindstone....and my Monday morning goal is to get in the 247's.

.....

Yeah I cheated today, I had a 1 liter DrPepper, it took me all day to drink it but I still cheated.

LOL, I accidentally wore a pair of pants I haven't worn in a few years, so I am down from 42 to 40 and possibly 38 since I didn't notice the fit difference.

So its not the pounds but the fat.

I actually survived Easter without eating a single candy. Kids and grandkids came over for dinner and then an Easter Egg Hunt. Oh...I really wanted a Reeses Cup!!!!

For lunch I smoked a leg of Lamb and it was just outstanding. Along with it: Sweet Potato, Green Beans, Salad.....I skipped the Kings Hawaiian Rolls, but I did enjoy two glasses of red wine.

Hope I weigh well in the morning.

My youngest son and I are leaving this morning, a little vacation time, for three days of riding motorcycles. I won't have my scales to step on, Wednesday or Thursday morning, so my next weigh-in will be Friday morning.

I'm taking the whole week off, so Yesterday, I did a lot of garage/wrench twisting on the bikes. Probably more manual labor than I have done in a while, so it wasn't a surprise that I woke up to 246.6 lbs this morning. That's cool.....

Anyway, see you guys again on Friday.

Bro....this is tough talk, but it has to be a calorie thing. You might start counting calories, daily, for a couple of weeks and see what you learn.

The son and I are in a hotel this evening. 377 miles on the bikes today. A highlight was Black Canyon.

Robin, one thing I've learned from myfitnesspal is that weight loss is not linear and the scale does not always tell the whole story. Weight goes down, it goes up, it goes down. Look at the long term trend. It isn't a race and diet should be a noun, not a verb. You should be changing your eating habits for the long term.

Three days I was on the road..... I ate very, very wisely and I feel thinner, but I returned and weighed this morning, the exact weight I left. In some ways, over these three days, I feel I was even more disciplined than I was at home. This is the second time I have been on a motorcycle journey since January and for some weird reason, while on the bike I haven't lost an ounce.

But the boy and I had a great ride.

Beautiful scenery Big John.

But you are sitting on your butt and not using many calories as you are riding.

Yeah, good point. If I was on a dirt bike, running single-track, working my tail off....I probably would have dropped 5lbs.

Yesterday was a cold ride in the upper 40's and 50's most of the day. The wind chill was quiet low and my body worked hard all day to stay warm. I have always wondered what happened with caloric burn in these types of situations.

According to the info below....hot weather helps burn more calories than cold weather. This surprises me, because it seems our bodies work so hard to stay warm, when it is so, environmentally cold.

Guess I will burn more calories on a motorcycle ride in July in the southwest with temps over 100 degrees, than in March....when it is 40 degrees.

Off of Livestrong.com.....

"You may feel like your body is working harder to keep you warm when it’s cold outside, but you don’t start to burn additional calories until you shiver."

"When it’s hot outside, your body works hard to keep you cool so you maintain a steady body temperature. You lose most of the energy manufactured by your muscles during exercise as heat. The more your muscles work, the hotter they become. Your body needs to kick it into overdrive to keep you cool. Your cardiovascular system increases blood flow to your skin so you start to sweat. Exercise inherently raises your body temperature, meaning your body doesn’t need to work harder to warm you up. It’s already doing that. You burn more fat and calories and can exercise longer when you do so in warm temperatures, according to the American Council on Exercise."

On the upside, you never gained weight thanks to your choices . Keep up the good work.
